Chichikon - 01
I think 
KanoKon is supposed to be maybe a shortening of “Kanojo complex” (or maybe it refers to that konkon sound effect of animals) but I could be wrong. I think a better suited name is “Chichicon” also known as Boob Complex because that’s really all this show is about. Actually it’s not much different from To Love Ru, but the real difference I suppose is in the lusty shota. I know he looks like an innocent loveable shota, but actually he’s a horny little shota who has been dying for some busty cool & spicy wolf fox to come around and bring him to manhood. While some people are going to blog and fap to this every week, I think I will pass. If this show had less boobs and more elephant wangs, it coulda been a winner though.

fap fap fapI’m probably gonna check this show out anyway, simply because I think the art looks pretty. And sometimes it’s fun to watch mindless fanservice when it looks good.
Personally I was hoping for you to pick up one of these shows just for sarcastic fangirl rage, but that’s just me being selfish. XD

I’m just gonna give this show another couple more episodes before I decide to drop it or not but yeah…first episode didn’t seem that all promising. I actually thought To Love Ru was better in the comedic aspect. Plus you don’t have the main guy falling in love with the alien chick at first sight, which is sorta refreshing!
Did like the drool bit when they kissed. Hmm…is this going to be a trend now in love comedies? Drool after kissing?
Definitely wouldn’t mind seeing that in CLANNAD, between Tomoya and Nagisa.

I gotta say though, that little boy is extremely cute. He’d fit really well into your typical cute heartwarming comedy.
Jason did recommend Kanokon to me when he signed on to Heart’s Content, but I’m suspecting more for the epic fanservice than the shota cuteness.
The Wikipedia entry for Kanokon says it’s short for “Kanojo wa kon to kawaiku seki wo shite” - is that something like “My Girlfriend Goes ‘Kon’”?

As for the chichicon commentary: I think the Japanese are tired of lolicon and now want some shotacon. At this rate, I’d rather watch actual H and see the hot love done in various locales.
As much as I love romance/comedy stuff, I can’t stand shota/loli crap. (Maybe my hatred for children? lol) I couldn’t get through Mamoru-kun ni Megami~ show even though it had romance and stuff…the shota just annoyed me after a while

Actually, it’s nostalgia. But that’s one of the things the animators forgot to cover. (They may get to it next week.)
I didn’t expect Kouta to be so wussified. Or Chizuru to be a rapist. Though I did expect Mamiko’s voice to be out-of-place. I think Saito Chiwa should’ve be Kouta instead of yet-another-tsundere. At first I thought Mamiko would be a good Chizuru, but Ayako is doing quite well; her acting is the only thing I enjoyed in this ep.
Actually, two things. The twin lolis eating lunch was amusing.
But my biggest complaint is art that makes me puke. Aren’t animators supposed to put extra effort into a first episode so it looks good enough to draw viewers? This looked more like a bad Bleach filler ep… no, it was worse. With characters that are rejects from Manabi Straight. And what was the deal with a 10 second still-frame to start the episode?
I probably should track down the novel if I’m going to be too critical. But I enjoyed the manga. It was ecchi, yes. But Kouta is intelligent and mature. Chizuru is gentle (or tries to be) and slightly melancholic. And there’s a chemistry between them that makes their story endearing. The anime is just porn, and the suggestion that there’s some plot that will need to be dealt with in case they run out of boob jokes.

personally the fox’s deformed tail is what worried me!
The only fox that I like is Horo from Spicy Wolf. She’s cute and one smart cookie!
