    The best thing about To-LOVE-ru is Ren-kun and Run-chan; everything else is okay overall. Unfortunately, they are only side characters .

    Anyway, bad mangas often translate into shitty anime. I didn’t expect anything from this series seeing how I dropped it after reading the first chapter.

    Hinano, I do not think anyone reads the manga for the plot … its a ecchi comedy that HEAVILY uses situational (often of nudity and fanservice type) comedy as a driving point.

    I could have told you that, its like Sekerei … (except Sekerei have STRIP KOMBAT as well … and more nudity).

    I am not reading either of those for the romance angle you know … (even if Sekerei does get me curious about the ending, I can guess things but … after “WTF? those are tits” moment I realize it can throw twists without much of a warning).

    Drakron: It is indeed that… but even then, they don’t seem to use quite as many T&A shots as the OP alone used… which makes me think of R+V, which was similarly redone to up the mindless fanservice and remove any interactions between characters that didn’t involve a boob grab or panty flash.

    Maybe but reading the manga I can guess the formula that is going to be used down how its going to end (Lala father showing up) so I have no real incentive to watch this (my bet is in Kanokon) … also in case you did not notice there is few advances in the relations in the manga, the biggest one was Rito starting to like Lala (”like”, not “love”) and the whole thing is still pretty much “ecchi comedy” with a strong empathize on the “ecchi” bit.

    That is why I guessed that Hinano would not like this … not that is bad but its just not her thing (like Cliche Shoujo is not mine, you are not going to get me to watch Special A ) … some people might enjoy it (To-Love-Ru is not that bad if you enjoy that type of humor) as others will not.

    After all I hate Nadesico with the intensity of 1000 suns, some people like … same with Shuffle! …

    Kanokon does not look promising outside of the seiyuu, but we’ll give it a few episodes. This Spring season so far is… well… limp?
