Since I heard about Special A becoming an anime this spring, and seeing the manga at Kinokuniya a few times I decided to check it out myself.

I have to admit I fucking love it. It makes me feel all warm & squishy inside with all its shoujo goodness and KISSING. IT HAS KISSING! (And the best part is the mangaka pairs up all the guys with the girls that they fit with rather than putting them with 1 person and then many chapters later putting them with another for no apparent reason. *cough)

I won’t get into spoilers but yea the lead woman is pretty dense. She’s denser than a brick but seeing her overcome the denseness and eventually melt for the lead guy is my desired shoujo romantic goodness. Anyway this show I’m hoping is going to be awesome. The cast already looks awesome - the 2 ppl making out in this pic will be voiced by Goto Yuko and Fukuyama Jun! XD

I just pray that this doesn’t end up nearly as awful as Boobnaut and Rosario + Pantsu.

You know I’m just really damn glad I didn’t actually buy this volume because I couldn’t find it at Kinokuniya. I downloaded it and holy shit am I glad I didn’t waste like $8 on this garbage. In fact I think I am never buying this series again and I can see myself selling it to Book Off sooner rather than later. I don’t think in order to progress a story we need Shinji’s head in some girl’s crotch or tits, but apparently the mangaka appears to disagree with me on that matter. Continue Reading »

Omg this is the worst filler ever. What annoys me the most is how they’re using manga titles for episode titles, but the manga chapters named “Sai” were related to SAI - not some crazy Egyptian nutcase who’s trying to be a freaking ghostbuster. I really don’t understand you Madhouse. You had SO MUCH MATERIAL to work with - why did you have to add your own fillers? Neuro could have been such an awesome adaptation - as shown by the episodes you actually DID follow the story for. But no, you go pull this shit right at the end of the series. First of all I coulda sworn Godai knew about Akane? Why is it all of a sudden he doesn’t? And now Yako is the witch? Wtf? Also how the hell does Yako’s cell phone work underground in some ancient ruins? Japanese phones don’t work outside Japan typically. Bah, just skip this episode, it was retarded as hell.

So the latest craze that seems to hit the anime fanart world is Tegaki. It’s been popular in Japan before but recently someone had opened up an English version for English speakers to post their doodles. Tegaki is basically a Java/Flash version of MS Paint. Your tools are just pencils and colors. The rest is up to you. This makes it interesting to see who will post random doodles and who spends countless of hours making their art looks just as good as someone in an art program.

I decided to jump on the bandwagon because this is a good chance for me to practice my drawing since I got the coloring thing down but my proportions look like crap as always.

It’s also a good way to get yourself to practice the basics, because in a tegaki, if you don’t have that down, the rest looks like crap and won’t make your picture look any better. Give it a shot if you want to improve your drawing or at least give yourself an excuse to draw more often.

So here I am preparing for Anime Boston. I have been on & off but it’s crunch time now because it’s only 2 weeks away. My biggest worry is my Haruhi doujinshi. The guy who was supposed to print it originally told me in early February that his printer broke. I had then go with another printer and my order has been “print pending” on their stupid que for the last 3 weeks. I requested this stuff to be mailed no later than March 11th so I guess I won’t panic just yet. If I end up at the con with only 8 leftover doujinshis though they will feel the wrath of my fangirl rage. Continue Reading »

I had some serious de-ja vu when watching this episode. When the first 2 minutes played I was like “did I download the wrong raw wtf?” I double checked and made sure yes this was episode 10. Wow that was some serious business KimiAru. There was only like 1 joke that made it seem like Shinra was making out with Ren but after that it was like serious stuff in regards to Yume. Apparently when they were all little and their parents died Shinra didn’t cry at the funeral because she felt like she had to be that sister who’s got a hold of herself. Due to this Yume thought Shinra didn’t cry because she wasn’t sad that the parents died and she told her that. So basically that’s why Shinra had this grudge against Yume and ignored her all the time. So uhm that got resolved now so I guess next week all is happy again!

Well since Amu lost her eggs her friends decide to help her get them back. They use the shugo chara’s “nantonaku radar” (which literally means “Somekind of a radar”) to see if they can “find the presense” of any Shugo Charas near by. They tell Amu to stay back while they do all the dirty work since she can’t transform and she’d just be in the way. Continue Reading »
