I was informed on MAL that Sumomomomomomo actually is 24 episodes, and the last 2 were goofy specials unrelated to the story that were released on DVD only. (Something another studio is planning to do as well.) I dug around a bit and found them uploaded to various video sites because the torrent for the raws was posted last August. Ok last post for tonight then I gotta pack for Anime Boston. XD Anyway, I meant to post this a while ago but never got around to it. Anyway you guys remember that Shippuuden ending of Naruto where they showed the Naruto cast in a manga style school life kinda situation? Well they actually made a spin off special from that which sorta explains how everything happens. So while the episode started as a drag and boring school festival crap it got pretty exciting in the 2nd half. Seeing Mao trying to run away from Koiichi and Yumi was absolute win. Haha don’t you love how all my screencaps are always Amu and Ikuto. So this episode basically followed the manga so I’ll put my filler megaphone away for now. I still wish Ikuto was more “playful” in the anime rather than all emo and serious. What was kinda dumb though was how Amu transformed like in all 3 of her chara changes. Like “tag your turn!” I mean they must have wasted at least 5-6 minutes on just transformation sequences throughout the episode. ^^; Continue Reading »

That was fairly easy wasn’t it! Actually the episode was basically about them going to the Hanami and that untrap butler having a crush on Benice. I know there were probably more parodies (I think one of them looked like Flame of Recca or Street Fighter) but I couldn’t pinpoint myself to what they were from. Ah this is the kind of kimiaru that I like, not all the serious business crap. Also there was a gaijin joke made and I didn’t really understand it, aside from not really understanding what the hell Natose was even babbling about.

Upcoming Attractions: Well since the show is coming to an end, they have to have some plot in regards to Ren’s dad.

Recently the webmaster of Fan History contacted me letting me know about her site. It’s basically the wikipedia for fandoms. So you can go in there and tell your tales of how anime conventions went from having every other guy cosplay Vash the Stampede, then Ed Elric, Naruto and Yagami Light.

And while we’re on the topic of history, how many of you started your fandoms with these guys? XD

A lot of you guys already discussed it in my post about obsolete fansites but I’m sure when you think of something else it would be great to add it to the wiki. I could probably write a whole paragraph about the evolution of anime downloading that began on Geocities/Tripod, then Hotline, then FTP, then IRC and now Bit Torrent.
