Manga Review: Shugo Chara Vol. 6
I know 
you’ve all been impatiently waiting so here it is. But before I go into it I have to first talk trash about Kinokuniya and Japanese racism since it is relevant to me purchasing this book. As you guys know Shugo Chara has Special Edition volumes that come out along with every normal edition when a Shugo Chara volume is released. Kinokuniya only had 2 volume 6’s sitting out period, neither of which was the SE. I asked a lady working there if she could help me find a Special Edition or open up one of the drawers where they keep extra books. She told me “can you please wait” because she seemed in the middle of something. Ok that’s cool I just hung around looked at random How to Draw Manga books while I waited. I then saw her come back but rather than helping me, her attitude went from “Go away white person” to “Hi I’d love to help you find it” when she decide to help a random Japanese family who had come upstairs during the time I waited…and basically ignoring my existence. That’s great Kinokuniya. You market your sorry asses towards weeaboos, but when we come to spend money, you ignore us. Yea well you just lost about $6 extra from one of us, fags. And now let’s continue on to the manga review. 
First I want to mention that wordpress 2.5’s redone tag feature sucks donkey butt. Why’d they have to get rid of the “tags below your post cloud” thing?? God that was so handy! 
Anyway moving on. Oh yes I am sick of seeing Tadase and Amu blushing together, however in this volume Ikuto was really ghey and reminded me of anime Ikuto who’s all emo and crap.
This volume also explained basically why Rima was always so negative and closed in. Her parents always argued about dumb shit and when she tried to make them laugh they just argued about who raised her to act so dumb. Eventually she tells them like it is and goes to help Amu and the others.
Also turns out that bishie dude is the chairman of the school board, who woulda thought he hangs out in dark planetariums as a hobby lol.
Kairi gets caught with a bag of brain-washing CDs so he admits to being in Easter and then runs off and un-enrolls from the school.
We also find out the process behind making those CDs. It’s like a newspaper press. I always thought if you try pressing and egg you just get a broken egg with all the goo spilling out of it…lol
Yea this is about as much as “romance with Ikuto” as we got this volume. There was almost no Amuto, actually wait…there WAS no Amuto period. There was only incest.
Eru watched too many Sailormoon cartoons with Utau when she was young or something.
As usual Yaya proves to be incredibly dumb and useless. In fact none of her attacks in this volume worked and during some of them they affected her as well (she’d put others to sleep and then fall asleep herself 
)
Kairi’s love for Amu totally snaps him back to reality and he is able to Chara Nari into Futaenokiwami AA!! a samurai.
Even as a shota, Ikuto was popular with the ladies and the mans. So yea looks like Tadase and Ikuto and Utau are childhood friends. I could see the Tadase and Ikuto thing but it seemed to me as if Utau and Tadase were complete strangers.
Utau’s Shugo Chara gets tired of her bitching and goes and Charanari’s with Amu…although the result is left to be desired. I mean those bat wings look more like censors rather than parts of her outfit O_O;
Amu is finally able to realize her “shining star” inside and Daiya (Dia?) Charanaris with her. Also Dai returns to her “true” form which is a lot cuter than her evil form used by Utau. I like this outfit a lot more than the previous above lol.
Eventually Utau sees the light and Charanari’s with Eru - then she’s able to sing this angelic lullaby that puts all the crazy X-Chara back into their eggs and purifies the eggs at the same time. Amu them uses beastly powers of time & space to catch the falling helicopter with Kairi’s crazy sister and the pilot in it.
Oh and here is Dia’s true form. Actually she ends up going back into her egg because it’s possible that she’s Amu’s “would be self” from the future. Does this mean Amu wants to be a singer too now? 
So Utau and Kairi’s sister end up quitting Easter and starting their own talent agency to make big bucks off Utau’s songs. Ikuto goes missing in action like an emo anime cat boy that he is. Utau is a total tsundere bitch as usual.
Kairi grows some samurai balls and confesses to Amu. Amu acts like no one’s confessed to her before which makes no sense since I coulda sworn that shota voiced by Minami Omi in the anime confessed to her, and then Tadase sorta confessed to her, and even Ikuto kinda said “I’m interested in you” etc.
Other notes of interest. Looks like Nagihiko is coming back, he helped bring Ami over to where Utau was (this is what helped her “see the light”.) Also Kairi’s sister used to date Nikaido-sensei, and despite being her ex-boyfriend she still makes him help her move. What a pathetic man. Ikuto is shown emoing on the roof of some building somewhere while Yoru’s like “god damnit everyone’s having fun and they forgot about us!” Ok yea Amu hasn’t forgotten about you, now stop being emo and climb into her bedroom like a good catboy.

I got my copy of this just last week, and I’d say I’m realllyyyy looking forward to the next volume!!! No Amuto makes me sad =___=
at least now, we’ll see less of the incestuous scenes, with Utau getting less of the spotllight. Moar Amuto in the next volume too! w00t! xD

You should go to Kinokuniya with a Japanese friend, act like you are not together, then if you get ignored, he can go and ask the lady there for help and say, oh but what about the gaijin over there, how rude to ignore her! lol.
I’m curious, do you ask for help in Japanese?

I think I’ll skip volume 6 and go straight to seven when it comes out. Basically, the only reason I read this is for Amuto!

Well, I believe this volume was to develop the secondary main characters more ( i.e. Rima, Kairi, Utau) before they get completely shafted next volume for what I believe is the “Ikuto Arc”
Chapter 27 and the preview for Chapter 28 definitely gave that impression, anyways.
Too bad the Volume 7 will be out in four or so months ==;
yea I dont even know when vol 7 will be out but I figure it will be packed full of Amuto

I thought she was 12 almost 13? lol oh well that’s still bad haha
She is a elementary student, fifth grade so I taken a shoot at 10-11 (she might be older but not by much) … illegal loli is illegal, even in “Japan: age of consent = 13″.
In that case I will argue that she is definitely 12. She’s in 6th grade and possibly going into 7th by the time we reach the next volume. THe anime still has her in 5th though.

I think that Amu thinks no one has confessed to her coz well…. all the others arent as direct about it and havnt actually just said “I Love You Amu” or something to that effect but….. she should have seen it coming really….. lol
