Poop Hitting Fan Friday: Naruto Ch. 395 & Ouran High School Ch. 60
So since there is no Naruto anime episode this week I figured I’d do a combo post with manga releases. Today I checked out the latest chapter of Naruto of course along with a coincidental upload of the latest chapter of Ouran High School Host club. In my opinion, poop hits the fan more in Ouran than in Naruto, since something incredibly surprising has to happen in Naruto for me to get that kind of feeling…actually Naruto was more of a big joke than anything else.
Hey guys, isn’t Tobi so fucking awesome, how he’s like invincible yet acts incredibly idiotic at the same time? I think what makes Tobi a cool character is he’s really badass but he acts like a bloomin’ idiot - rather than someone who failed at the DBZ auditions. So while he’s still an annoying Uchiha, at least he’s amusing about it, and not emo or insane like certain Uchiho’s that we know.
JUST AS KEIKAKU. Basically this chapter was just showing how incredibly weak Naruto’s team is and how much they suck. Kishimoto, unfortunately, we already know that…and just because you bring out Shino after god knows how many chapters, it doesn’t help that you make him look like a weak pansy in his probably only scene that he’ll get for like…the rest of the series.

That’s basically Kishimoto’s way of saying that this is the ultimate villain who’s fucking invincible. It’s like those computer games from the 90s where it was made that you just couldn’t beat the final boss of Mortal Kombat 2 no matter which character you played, how many times you tried and no matter which move you pulled. It just made it so that all your moves automatically miss, and suddenly all your blocks or evasions suddenly don’t block or evade shit. You get hit, you lose and you die. Now that the Uchihatard fight is over, I honestly don’t know what the hell to look forward to because I am under the impression that the entire cast of Naruto are a bunch of weak pansies trying to fight that invincible boss.
I mean eventually the good guys will win, but it’ll be pathetic and anticlimatic just like the end of the Uchiha fight…except instead of taking 2 months…it’ll take like 20 years. I wonder if Kishimoto will be alive to finish it?

Moving on…this week’s Ouran’s chapter left me in despair.(har)
I was getting like…really excited about Tamaki and Haruhi’s possible relationship progression and then they pull this shit:
Wtf?? 
Now at first I thought the daddy/daughter thing was just some joke but now it’s like serious buzinezz. =_=; Bah. I’m sure the next few chapters will involve Tamaki trying to overcome his family complex and eventually I have no doubt that he WILL realize his feelings for Haruhi….but for some reason the road to this doesn’t seem so exciting anymore. It’s kinda like I was on a bullet train through some magical flower garden but somehow ended up that bus that goes to the school in Rosario to Pantsu.

What was the last arc of Naruto you actually liked?
I wonder if Kishimoto ever stops to think how stupidly boring his fights are now that he’s introduced godlike characters. It kinda reminds me of the Matrix. Neo’s journey from noob to haxor was interesting and fun, but once he got that powerful, where do you go from there? Note how Tobi is now running away too… pointless fights against the Big Bad that ends when the Big Bad leaves even though he’s winning… isn’t that basically the entire premise of any non-pedo apperance of Orochimaru?
It’s hard to get overly upset about nonsensical roadblocks to shoujo love - isn’t that the point of the entire genre?
John> I guess I woulda preferred the roadblock in Ouran to be like “hikaru’s love for haruhi” but it’s like that’s been thrown aside quickly and replace with tamaki’s daddy complex. i really hate any kind of incest complex, hence why I hate Utau from Shugo Chara xD;
In regards to Naruto, yea come to think of it even in the shippuuden ep, Oro appears, says something like Naruto sucks and then runs off lol. At least with Oro, he KINDA got hurt and took some damage. Tobi is like a ghost! He doesn’t even get a scratch!! THat’s what’s making this whole thing even worse lol
Now that Madara is the bad guy, Kishi gonna stretch this to infinity to make more bucks on narutards
haha, oh man, I just started reading your blog recently Hinano and I must say, it has quickly become one of my favorites. I’ve been arguing (lightly) with a friend about the pointlessness of naruto now (I used to follow both the manga and anime) so I understand the pain
. Anyways, love the blog, great work! 
Though it technically isn’t “out” until this coming Monday, let’s not forget about One Piece chapter 494… the curse of Sanji’s wanted poster strikes again. Poor dartboard-eyebrow.

Oh god Zombie Naruto returns!!
I honestly feel that after all he’s put us through, if he ever even THINKS about starting a new manga, I will promptly refuse to read it and warn everyone that it will be another 10 years of what we went through with Naruto before they fall into the trap.
Multithreaded plots just don’t work in a format that only lets you show 20 pages a week.
Kishimoto loves Dragonball but apparently learned nothing from the post-Freeza works. If you can only create suspense by infinite power ups, then inevitably most of your cast is going to be worthless and their victories painfully contrived. When the title character is one of these underpowered, worthless people, then that should be a sign that some severe fuck up has occured.
but One Piece is pure fun! Naruto on the other hand is in the process of being reduced into a pile of Sasuke dung!
I loved this chapter of Ouran! Although, you’re right… it’s bound to become predictable and anti-climactic starting from here. I still love it though!!!

(I just beat Shaolin Monks a few days ago on my 360, haven’t played it since the week I bought it. Good times.)
The US anime airings are still pre-time skip. Just in the beginnings of the Forever Fillers. Give it time, I’m sure all Narutards (myself included) were still in love then. It took a year or two to begin to shift, then after a brief glimmer of hope, it’s been a crap slip & slide ever since.
I think that’s why I cut the manga some slack, it’s really the only Naruto entertainment I’m getting these days; and I’m to addicted to let go.
Now that you mention it… post some words about Special A!!!! i’ve only read till volumen 6 (because i haven’t found more scanlations…) but i’d read the summaries till chapter 79 and i love it, it’s great… hope they don’t mess it up like great stories as Rurouni Kenshin
(a classic manga for me with a dreadfull animation in the end)
