I forgive the scene of Kyou cockblocking at the beginning because the rest of the episode was dedicated to Nagisa & Tomoya. Thank you Mei, you have saved me from making another flaming post.

Also drmchsr0 must be wetting his pants after seeing Seen666 animated. :twisted:

So I guess they’re animating the after story (in case you haven’t already heard it through the grapevine…geezus people how many of you posted about it?)…hopefully it’ll be good and have less starfish hoes and cockblocking/bitchfights. (See now the anime only viewers of Clannad think Tomoyo and Kyou have some sort of bitch rivalry going on when they had really nothing to do with each other in the game :| ) I guess the final episode is coming in July as a DVD special….at least until they give us more info on when After Story is getting released.

And finally if you like MMORPGs, Dream of Mirror has been Clannified and if you like hit level 20 you can buy crap (read ITEM SHOP we take your money lulz) for your character to make them look like Clannad people. I registered to get some wallpapers until I realized that you had to actually…play the game. As exciting as it sounds to join another mmorpg grind fest, I think I will pass.

    The ending felt kinda rushed. Things were going well, but then suddenly the writers were out of time.

    Crisu> I guess that explains the after story,….they need to cover their butt somehow. I’m hoping with all the other girls out of the way they can properly focus on Nagisa’s and Tomoya’s story.

    Yes, yes main lead x main heroine is fine, but it was main lead x best friend in this episode that made me go :twisted:

    That incest bit with Mei and Youhei was awesome too. :razz:

    Even as a diehard Kyou fan, I’m going to have to agree. Nagisa and Tomoya need more screen time to themselves. Sucks we have to wait another couple seasons to get to the BAAWing.

    Though, it’ll give me an excuse to rewatch Clannad in glorious widescreen.

    Shirukii> I actually developed so much dislike for Clannad that even though I was downloading the widescreen versions I ended up deleting them after making my AMV. Didn’t wanna look at it again. :cry:

    No it’s just Kyou complaning everytime she sees Tomoyo for some reason, which doesn’t seem to ooc to me considering the game.

    I just sold my soul to the mmo Mabinogi which is cuter anyways… and has a pretty good customization so you can create look-a-likes already. I have a Nagisa looking character on there already, lol.

    Ivy, the answer to that is “yes and no” :oops: It’s actually a somwhat difficult question to answer, because like the first season, it depends a bit on how many and how much of the side characters’ stories they go into.

    At a rough guess, the story of “Nagisa and Tomoya” will take up 40-50% of the series length whatever it turns out to be.

    Ivy> It’s primarily Nagisa story. While they do have other characters’ “side stories” there as well, t he main focus is around Nagisa & Tomoya.

    I actually stopped watching Clannad at 20 or 21 because I thought After Story wasn’t going to get animated and only figured it out when I randomly watched 23’s raw the other day. I described Clannad without After Story to my friends like the Titanic movie without the iceberg or the sinking ship part.

    Although I’m sorta wondering how they’re going realistically deal with how After Story was meant to be experienced, if it’s as well-done as KyoAni’s interpretation of the Air arc, I’ll be very happy.

    Looking forward to seeing that utterly weird conversation between Fuuko and her sister at the end, too.

    I have no doubt they can. Some of the most memorable scenes are already animated. Even if the anime overall isn’t as great as the game it will be good to see those scenes.

    Heck I’d rather they skip Haruhi 2 and get on with it.
