Be a part of Anime Fandom History!

Published by Hinano at 1:50 pm under Unsorted

Recently the webmaster of Fan History contacted me letting me know about her site. It’s basically the wikipedia for fandoms. So you can go in there and tell your tales of how anime conventions went from having every other guy cosplay Vash the Stampede, then Ed Elric, Naruto and Yagami Light.

And while we’re on the topic of history, how many of you started your fandoms with these guys? XD

A lot of you guys already discussed it in my post about obsolete fansites but I’m sure when you think of something else it would be great to add it to the wiki. I could probably write a whole paragraph about the evolution of anime downloading that began on Geocities/Tripod, then Hotline, then FTP, then IRC and now Bit Torrent. Anyway check it out, here is a direct link to their anime section.

I saw my first anime waaay back when I was 2 or so. It was some random kid’s show with a sea dragon. I have no idea what it was called. My first actual fandom was with Sailor Moon, though  Classic.

Heh, my “official” first anime (i.e. the one I’d name if asked) is Evangelion, but I’ll admit to watching more than my share of Pokemon during the late nineties long before I identified as an anime fan.

    Nyonyonyonyonyo! Broccoli-nyo!

The banner is crimped from Milfeulle’s GA ending where there is Milfeulle x Takuto hot sexx0rz.

  16. Hinano UNITED STATESon 16 Mar 2008 at 9:59 am

haha I Wish there were hot sexx0rz. I never played the game but I coulda sworn the GA game had no ero scenes D:

  17. Di Gi Kazune MALAYSIAon 16 Mar 2008 at 10:30 am

There is no sexx0r… in all three games but you can always dream of Mint x Vanilla. mmm… Minty Vanilla… The flight mode is fun… sorta… reminescent of Wing Commander. I wanna my wing commander back!!!!

  18. Di Gi Kazune MALAYSIAon 16 Mar 2008 at 10:38 am

No hot sexx0rz… but we can always dream of Minty Vanilla. It’s an okay game if you like the combat simulator bits where you fly the Emblem Frames.

I don’t even remember much about my early fandom to write anything. To me pre-2004, anime was just cartoons that I really didn’t get hyped up about but watched never discussing how I felt about them as a fan.

Although this site seems like it’ll be pretty neat once it has some more info.
