Some site updates: Avatars & Registration
Because some of you have asked I decided to open up registration. The only reason for this is because if you’re registered, then your comments won’t get caught in my spam filter. This happens a lot if you post a link of some sort or say the S word 
Anyway to register just hit “Register” under the META column at the bottom of the page. I’m hoping this won’t attract spam bots, but if it does I may have to close it and just do manual registration. (i.e. you guys email me a name/pw and I create account for you.)
Secondly I am bringing back Gravatars again. I really like them but I think I did something last time which caused my blog to explode lol. Hopefully this won’t happen. I honestly didn’t realize this blog gets that many hits so I never thought that it would cause a problem. (I still find it odd when people are like OMG IT’S HINANO!! XD I don’t see myself as a big deal 
)
If you don’t have a Gravatar, you can easily register & get one at their site…otherwise you will be the default Leek headed Miku.

you’re permanently registered lol. i don’t think i’d ever “purge” accounts unless wordpress suddenly set a limit on how many users can register in a blog ^^;

Gravatar just made the transistion from all-ruby to all-php… with all 1 back end script in the same language as wordpress, it’s all supposed to gel together that much better now. Although I hear WP2.5 when it comes out soon will have gravatar options automatically. =P

So when is wp 2.5 coming out? I got the gravatar plugin like a month ago. I remember when Gravatar first came out it was kinda crappy and everytime I tried to login it would like always time out. So yea I guess they improved!

Supposedly 2.5 was delayed another week or two. Since the company behind wordpress acquired Gravatar, they made it not suck by making it scale well.
I don’t think the wordpress gravatar support will be that cool. It’s just an actual wordpress function now, but the code for adding a gravatar was always pretty short.
WordPress 2.5 is slated for a March 17 release. A one week delay.
