Dear Gonzo, Please don’t ruin Special A
Since I heard about Special A becoming an anime this spring, and seeing the manga at Kinokuniya a few times I decided to check it out myself.
I have to admit I fucking love it. It makes me feel all warm & squishy inside with all its shoujo goodness and KISSING. IT HAS KISSING! 
(And the best part is the mangaka pairs up all the guys with the girls that they fit with rather than putting them with 1 person and then many chapters later putting them with another for no apparent reason. 
*cough)
I won’t get into spoilers but yea the lead woman is pretty dense. She’s denser than a brick but seeing her overcome the denseness and eventually melt for the lead guy is my desired shoujo romantic goodness. 
Anyway this show I’m hoping is going to be awesome. The cast already looks awesome - the 2 ppl making out in this pic will be voiced by Goto Yuko and Fukuyama Jun! XD
I just pray that this doesn’t end up nearly as awful as Boobnaut and Rosario + Pantsu. 
(Or else you know what kind of posts you’ll be seeing every week )

I don’t think they’ll do a good job at it - we’ll probably see more fanservice and mangled storylines. The BEST that can be hoped for, barring their transferring control of the project to another studio, is that the anime doesn’t suck so bad, art and story-wise, that the manga-ka is forced to commit public suicide in order to expiate their shame.
Hmmm, so what volume do they finally end up making out in? Hah…
But yeah this is AIC and Gonzo so I have hopes and like you, I love the top two seiyuu so here’s to hope.
When I found out that Special A was being animated, I was thrilled… until I saw that Gonzo would be animating it
. I’m already a bit annoyed with how they changed Kei’s hair color to brown when it is clear in the manga that it’s blonde. However, as long as they keep the basic storylines and personalities the same, I can overlook the changes that Gonzo has made with the character designs.
Anyways, I’m really looking forward to seeing how they show Jun and Megumi’s special quirks

Nodame Cantabile is josei, not shoujo.

now i remember why i have been waiting for april-VK, and Special A.. Now if the rumor abt Gakuen Alice second season is true I am a happy nerd..lol
Though not very often, even Gonzo can (by accident?) make a good show. I finally finished watching Blue Drop and was quite satisfied.
I suppose I should look into Special A. (Why do so many manga have such ridiculous titles?) On a similar subject, I saw a promising cast list for Kemeko DX (Saito Chiwa, Kitamura Eri, Takahashi Mikako) and also Hal Films. So I checked out the manga and, well, now a bunch of my brain cells have filed a protest with Amnesty International.
I was pretty excited about the anime at first but then I saw the character design and got weirded out. It’s like they switched all of the guys’ hair colors: Ryuu and Tadashi switched hair colors for some reason and Kei suddenly got brown hair … huh … This will take some time to get used to. But hopefully it will still be good (oh please GONZO+AIC, you gave us the wonderfulness that is Seto no Hanayome, you can do it again!)
Ah, Special A … my friend actually read this too and said it was great, so I’m hoping it IS great. I agree with you … I don’t like anime where one chick goes with one guy then suddenly decides to go with another, plus anime characters that end up with different ones are awesome. There’s more than one couple, which is pure brilliance-ness, lols. Can’t wait til I get to watch this, but I also heard Vampire Knight is really good too. You should read Twilight by Stephanie Meyer, it’s a really cool book that gets girls easily addicted … myself included XD

People, let’s face reality! The anime plot version will never be faithfully close to the manga plot version. See what happened to KimiKiss and Rosario, one who has already paired up the couples almost at the beginning and what happened now? An possible Kouichi x Mao ending (which you, Hinano, are dreading over
, rooting for a Kouichi x Yuumi 
) Now, the other one looks like there will be no gonzo but like Pandora’s box, you come out disappointed for too much boob-age and pantsu-age.
Let’s face it, the anime writers or whoever is in charge is think like “it’s anime, let’s do whatever we want with this series so it can’t be very close to the manga, which is sooo boring by plot (or whatever).”

Hmm, just read the first chapter. Reminds me of the early part of Kare Kano. Looks to be interesting, hopes Gonzo doesn’t mess up(again).
Sorry Ren but KimiKiss is a dating sim first (with the manga being thrown in as ways to make more money, just like the anime) and yes, R+V is worst but its GONZO …
Also its near impossible animate manga chapter by chapter, changes are required since there is limited air time (Its not Bleach or Naruto), its a question of knowing when to end, some times the manga have a arc that allow then to “end” the anime.
There been faithfully adaptations, there also been good adaptations … you can complain all you want but I only need to remember Tsukuyomi ~Moon Phase~ to know some times its better to “do whatever we want” …
Hoping Gonzo skips around is like asking for them to ruin it! Nothing good can come of it.
They can save 3 hours just by removing the “introduction” that happens EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER!
Serious, are the readers THAT stupid that have to be reminded that the school is unbelievable, that they are in the A class, what is the A class, who else is in A class, the whole “2nd place” and the reason she is even there?
As generic as the promotional artwork looks, I honestly have no hope for this.
I won’t be watching unless some one says it turns out wonderfully. I’d hate to see it in ruined form.

I’m pretty sure Special A’s mangaka also created “You’re My Girlfriend”, another hilarious (yet short) manga. Check it out if you can.
Yeah, Hikari has the dense mind of Minami-ke’s Kana, but both are unique and funny in their own way.

I don’t think Kei looks that bad, actually. At least he looks a lot better than I thought he did in the promo pic.

As long as they don’t screw up the story so much, I should be ok with it. I guess it’s only natural for anime these days to have fanservice, but not to much PLEASE!!! I love this manga.
