H2O ~Full Circle in the Sand~ 10

Published by Hinano at 7:42 pm under H2O -Footprints in the Sand-

Wow I feel like I haven’t blogged anything in ages (even though it’s only been like 2 days.) Anyway speaking of shockers this week’s episode definitely blew me into a WTF mode. I’m glad the story got back on track with the total random violence and emoness because it was definitely lacking that the last few episodes. But you know how you can tell when the emoness is back? The horrible animation returns with it. Because god forbid they show the actual story related parts with GOOD animation, rather than like filler parts and anything that involves boobs.

So the episode begins with Hayami and Hirose still making out from last week. I’m sorry, it’s still sickening to me. Well not sickening but it’s not making me all warm and fuzzy. Speaking of warm and not so fuzzy, Hayami seems to specialize in Teriyaki Frog cooking. Nasty food aside, most of the episode is spent showing Hayami and Hirose all raburabu.

However the old geezer has to be a party pooper so he tells Hirose that the reason his mom committed suicide is because of Hayami’s parents. I wasn’t really paying too much attention on what exactly Hayami’s parents did to make her want to kill herself (nor do I care to go back & find out lol sorry) but due to this, Hirose started having his blindness ceizures again. Along with that, he got incredibly pissed at Hayami and began to ignore her most of the time.

Eventually Hayami was like “look if you don’t like me because of this then I’ll leave”. He of course says no no it’s fine but eventually the truth comes out when he’s liek HOW THE HELL CAN I BE FINE  and Hayami runs away from his house. As typical emo plot would have it, it’s pouring rain outside. She runs towards the area where the “bag dam” thing was set up and tries to break it so that the village’s crop fields can get flooded. Those 2 Yui manservants find her and begin beating her up…and we’re back to what we saw in episode 1.

Someone on niconico said that Hirose wasn’t actually blind when he was younger. He just “lost color in his life” when his mom committed suicide. This would kinda make sense if you follow the game since in the game the scenes look black & white lol but then why is he blind in the anime? O well for all I know that coulda been a sarcastic joke and probably not true anyway. In the anime though we did see that Hirose actually had full vision before his mom died…so maybe it’s not that far from the truth.

Upcoming Attractions: Did the creators see the Evangelion movie recently or what?

Also I think Hirose goes blind again.

I wish that they could reveal more about the behavior of Hayami’s family of why the whole entire village have a huge grudge against them, including Hayami? :???: I don’t know if the villagers were right about them OR a huge misunderstanding they thought of or whatever.

But probably it might show them near the end of the series which it is finishing very fast.

I thought it was because Hayami’s parents refused to help dying villagers even though they were like the only doctors or something

Every ep of H2O makes me think of at least 2 other anime. This week: Higurashi (Dam Wars) and KimiKiss (frogs)

frogs from kimikiss should end on fry pan, agreed… mhm, higurashi connection actually is on the spot, with a child paying for the real or perceived sins of parents (Satoko)

Man the people in this town are horrible, and I thought New Yorkers were bad…

Why the hell would anyone live there?

  13. ewok POLANDon 08 Mar 2008 at 11:31 pm

Would you rather live in Hinamizawa, pop.+-2000 and sometimes reducing to 0 overnight?

Haha I think that’s why I like this show. It reminds me of Higurashi in a way XD
