I do find it pleasant and as for manga adaptation, well I treat both medium differently and expecting faithfulness is zero to me. Since I can't remember any Studio going for faithful adaptation these days. Negima comes into mind, 2 separately done by different studio and yet neither of them capture the essence of the manga and lol who could forget the live action.
