KimiKiss: The Ice Queen Melts - 20
Haha whoaa what happened here. Aside from the Kai scene where I was cursing at Mao (literally) and going “poor Kai, kick that whore to the curb” this week definitely focused on Kazuki the stalker. I guess stalking pays off after all, except when you stand in front of someone’s house with a boombox playing “In Your Eyes”.
I feel bad for Asuka though to be honest. Too bad everyone can’t end up with everyone else. The best thing I heard all episode was “Mao’s going to move out” lol yay! 
But with her moving and Yumi moving it kinda makes you wonder who is Koiichi going to really end up with now? I’m still praying for a KoiYumi KaiMao ending, but only if Mao begs him to take her back. I’m so sick of Kai being nice her, he needs to SHOW HER HER PLACE. 
In other news, what the hell was up with this week’s animation?
It was really creepy, especially during the facial closeups. Also why does Kazuki’s sister suddenly have this burazacon thing going on? “You were so much cooler than Koiichi-niichan!” 
Good lord they need to stop that. It’s worse than the (thankfully no longer appearing) frogs.
Upcoming Attractions: Somebody is moving, it looks like Yumi but it sounds like Mao. Maybe both!

My guess is that Stripey is secretly writing this script under a pseudonym there is no other way to explain the recent wave of sis-con. Still I would lol hard if the Kazuki Imouto takes her onii-can back. If Auska can’t have him then neither should ice queen.
Poor Asuka if she pulls of a 4 ep offensive to get her man back we will all sing her praises in pulling an upset victory, but it seems that MaoxKoichixYoumixKai are going to take that long to shift things out.

Ah damnit, a part of me knew saw this day coming but It’s still a crushing blow (for god’s sake kazuki you could drive a car between those eyes!) may the football maiden’s love life rest in piece.

In series like this, they always choose the established drama over realistic wisdom. We know Asuka is the better girl for Kazuki, but it just doesn’t have as much drama as teary Futami, whose intellect knows Asuka is better for Kazuki, but whose hormone craves presence of Kazuki. If there is such award as absolute boyfriend of the year award, Kai deserves it. Why can’t good girl like Asuka get good man like Kai?

Granted they do that, then again they pretty much always do that … then again, this is fiction and so they rather go with idealism of “true love” with the jaded realism “friends with perks” … yes, its “love” but its also “safe territory” were its simply settling with someone you can live with.
I rather take idealism … does not help I am also a hopeless romantic …
Yea, FINALLY we get what we wanted from the start, Eriko goes emo with Kazuki.
Let’s hear it for Aihara x Futami, Sanada x Hoshino, Eiji x Mizusawa, and how about Hiiragi x Sakino. There, now they all have a partner! And they lived happily ever after, the end.
I actually like Futami. So I’m happy they showed her softer side. Still hate Mao. No amount of changing things around will actually make me believe Kouichi is in love with her. I refuse to believe it.
I’d really love an ending where Mao is alone, but I guess if Kai wants to forgive her for being a superbitch it’s okay too.

Wow. I hate Mao so terribly much. And to think, she was my favorite character in the beginning. I’d probably forgive her for being such a wishy-washy prick if she ends up being by herself, because she ain’t goin’ nowhere with our resident manly man Kai.
But honestly, I think Asuka’s been the most caring and considerate for the people she likes. So, I guess nice girls finish last in this show too, unfortunately.
Kai x Asuka would have been a sweet pairing if they did it right.
Sure you don’t SEE Koiichi and Asuka interacting much, but since when does the past characterization get in the way of future love developments anyway?
I’m sure they can twist in some sort of angle if they really tried.

I doubt we’ll see that in the anime, but at least there’s the manga for that alternate route :p

@Jauken7, No no. It’s gotta be Hiiragi x Shijou. I got no one to match Asuka with. I figure she’ll be jilted and do something Nice Boat.
As a Tanaka Rie fan, the end of this episode had me giddy. Especially her not-a-laugh.
The animation, yeah. What I noticed was the flying hair while Kazuki’s imouto was talking. What was up with that?
And there’s nothing worse than the frogs.
ps. Play the KimiKiss drinking game every time Mao tells a lie.
I agree, Hiiragi x Shijou is a better match but she seems hellbent on going through with the whole arranged marriage debacle. It would be cool if she gave up on that notion and went with him though. If that doesn’t happen, Asuka would be a good match too. Sadly, I don’t see anyone else for her to latch on to but Kazuki and he isn’t likely to give up Eriko for anyone.
That being said, I actually think Asuka is likely to turn up the heat on Kazuki and will probably end up kissing him at some point. Eriko will probably see that and retreat back into solitude fearing her worst nightmare has just occurred. Then Kazuki would have a really tough time undoing the damage to their relationship and be really pissed at Asuka for causing it.
The animation did seem to be improved this time, especially in the second half. Many of the backgrounds looked a little more detailed, better facial expression/detail, particularly on Eriko, and yes, the hair was cool. Even individual strands visible flying about. I really liked it, way to go guys!
plz just leave asuka as the good soccer buddy plot device she really is!
was she caring? was she considerate? in what sense? apart from when she found out about the experiments(she was right to snap at futami) all she’s done is football/pester kazuki to play football/get injured in football/ go shopping for football things etc! yes she really was that deep!
Asuka is certainly good soul, helping Kazuki with football, and even helping him meet Futami. She deserves better, but Futami needs love much more. If left alone, she probably would end up as emotionless yet suffering person.

Sure, she was rather indecisive, but she sincerely loves Koichi as she knows him far more completely. I do like Yuumi-chan a lot and wish her all good things, but since the beginning I always hoped for a KoichixMao. Let’s see how they develop this triangle. Also, kudos to Kai for standing up and declaring he’s alright on his own.
I do not hate Mao, I think the main issue with Mao hate comes from the Kai X Mao pairing that seem obvious at start but we can pass that along to the writers that made it too much of a romantic overture from Mao part that a attempt for friendship.
Its somewhat the same thing with Makoto and School Days, people hate the him and forget the derailment of the storyline that pushed Makoto into that role and the girls into psycho-obsessive … I have no problems in hating a character that is well written to deserve hate but when its became the writers simply made a poor job … I reserve the hate to the poor writing.
