Manga Review: Modotte! Mamotte! Lollipop Vol. 5

So it turns out that this manga will be 6 volumes - with the final volume being released on April 28th. The volume started out a bit cheesy but it was still pretty good. They went to the magic world to meet Zero’s family and his grandma who wanted him to get married and take over the house. Nina was all for it of course but Zero didn’t exactly want to hear the bells just yet. Nina also attempted to learn how to use magic but failed miserably. Also ever since THAT incident, I’m starting to see Ichi as a 3rd wheel. How sad. :twisted:

Most of the manga was pretty blah to me, at some points I had no idea what was going on and why they were doing it. It felt like another “page filler” in order to progress with the main purpose of this volume…which I have yet to figure out anyway. Oh well on to the scans.

So yea Zero tells Nina he’ll eventually marry her but not when they’re like 15. I hear ya there buddy.

I have no idea why in the end this guy says that if Nina “pretends” to marry him, Zero will do better on his magic exam. Again it feels like it was randomly forced in to make some sort of “antagonistic plot” but it didn’t feel right etc. Also him kissing Nina on 1 page was very meh to me ^^; I dunno maybe I’m growing out of these things? :???:

What did make me go dokidoki was the special chapter with San and Forte. Unfortunately all San cares about is dressing Forte up to look like a trap….rather than seeing him as a real man. So when he tries to put the moves on her, she flips out like a little brat and says some nonsense about him leaving her and things changing…and in the end they just end up being the way they were before. Blah. What a disappointment. :mad:

I’m guessing in the final volume, they’ll probably show Zero & Nina a few years later getting married for real or something. I think honestly the whole purpose of this series - was to just “solidify” the Zero x Nina thing. Everything else, the 2nd exam, etc. was pointless. Oh it was also to let everyone know that Ichi is gay. :lol: (I guess that’s better than being a pedobear and going for Rokka right?)

    Actually, after the manga ended, there was a short story about the children of NinaxZero and RokkaxIchii. Lol. I guess Ichii’s a pedobear, then. xD

    it was just an extra story that she put in that isnt part of the real story so EVERYONE CALM DOWN ABOUT SAN AND FORTE! :mrgreen: they were cousins in the extra story and if im wrong someone please notify meh!!

    Ok let me clear something up cause this is gettin redundantly retarded.
    Mamotte Lollipop = 7 VOlumes.
    Modotte! Mamotte! Lollipop = 6.

    The SEQUEL only has 6 the ORIGINAL has 7.

    and yeah… i sorta guessed that Ichi was gay in vol. 2 of mamotte lollipop.. :sad:
    i think it would be way better if ichi and zero got married! :razz:
    and maybe Ichi and Rokka would be good also..

    Forte and San make a great couple! plus its not illegal to marry your cousin, right? :wink: They have that kind of story set up all the time in manga partly cuz it happens alot in Japan.. sooo.. :razz: :razz: :razz: I’m a total Loli Complex Maniac!!!
