Marriage ~Kekkon~ OAV
Uh so
I saw this on Tokyo Toshokan and thought that it was relevant to my interests
so I decided to check it out. I was greeted with an explosion of later 80s early 90s style animation. Particularly the huge sparkly eyes and the double lined noses. While I’ve never heard of this before, the oav sports a pretty famous cast. (Think of Akio and Sunohara from Clannad
) It basically shows 2 stories (since it’s only 2 episodes) about women workers finding their “that true someone” from their work place. They even have chibi scenes which show that it’s the place where majority have found their spouse (although I have no idea if that’s based on any accurate Japanese poll.)
In the first one, our heroine voiced by Hisokawa Aya is shy and has a crush on one of the dudes at work. She is too shy to say anything so she shrugs it off. One of her coworkers tries to help her by setting her up with dating services, but in the end the red (earbuds) string of fate brings her together with the guy she likes at work (who I guess had a thing for her too.) Second story is about a geeky kohai who liked his senpai at work but she’s a pretty “independent” type of gal. Due to this it’s hard for her to take him seriously but when he throws the ring in her face (literally) she finally gets the picture.
Anyway it was a cute little oav. I like how they had the little graphs of like “how much men typically spend on a date where they will propose” and the biggest one was $100-$300. (I think for me it was less than $50 but I digress.
) I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone under the age of 22, you’d probably find it boring as it doesn’t contain lolis, fanservice or girls in short high school uniforms.

lol, looks interesting =p
its not rly THE oldest anime
but by looking just at those two screens, you see something that you dont see that much around anymore: cg-less animation XD
those yellow subs… lol i kinda remember watching kenshin vhs ripped looong time ago. happiness with 60mb…
come to think, nowadays youtube looks way better than rms from the old age hahah :~
haha oh god my kenshin fansubs were so bad at points it was unreadable. at least like this time around i dont really read the subs and just listen to the dialogue but back then I couldnt understand a thing.
i cant go back to rewatching kenshin now though - it’s been ruined for me with Futae no Kiwami AAAA! on NicoNico
Hehe I saw that a long time ago - in English dub too.
JPMeyer-san, HIIIIIIIIIN-TO!!!!!
i’d like it if it lacks fanservice as i’ve had my fill of overrated futari ecchi’s stats/figures under the premise of sex education/shameless fanserive!
Ascaloth> We’re already engaged he doesn’t need any
dick jones> This is fanservice free
