Why doesn’t Kishimoto just rename this manga to “Sasuke”?
Anyone who reads the weekly shounen jump scans/books whatever, will have read this week’s chapter and concluded that the entire god damn story revolves around the freaking Uchihas. Why even bother calling it Naruto? At this rate he seems like some background character, and the fact that in part 1 it was so focused on him as the main characte (as it should be since the manga is named after him) makes it all seem stupid and insignificant. Oh hell let’s stop cutting corners - spoiler filled rant after the jump.
So basically the Uchiha Madara (first Uchiha ever) and first Hokage created Konoha - hence why you see their statues at the waterfall where Naruto & Sasuke fought. Because all the Uchihas are gloryhogging bitches, Madara didn’t like the way things were going with Konoha so he set the freaking Kyuubi to destroy it. “If I can’t have it my way NOBODY CAN!” Fucking little Uchiha bitch. But oh no looks like Naruto’s family rains on his little parade and stops the freaking Kyuubi so what does he do? He goes and forms his stupid little Akatsuki to collect more of these beasts so he can BUY Konoha (and possibly other villages) back. (Or perhaps just threaten them with the fact that he’s got like 8 beasts up his butt.)
And to add on to this garbage, Itachi finally proclaims the REAL story of the Uchiha clan (and not the ping pong flash that I made.) He let Sasuke live so that he could have a spare set of EYEBALLS. Ever hear of eye surgery you dolt? Oh wait, I guess not because you’re too busy being a little Uchiha BITCH.
So someone remind me - where the hell does NARUTO come into play with all of this? Akatsuki = run by an Uchiha, Konoha created = half by an Uchiha, Naruto’s rival/former brother/friend = an Uchiha, that former brother’s destiny? = to kill an Uchiha, reason why Kyuubi attacked Konoha in the first place = an Uchiha, reason why Naruto has a Kyuubi and a sad past etc = an Uchiha.
What the hell is the point of Naruto anymore? Is that like some lame excuse to throw in more characters and plots to milk more money out of fans like Rumiko Takahashi? At this point, I don’t even know who the hell the main character of this story is supposed to be. I don’t even have that “OH MAN I WANNA SHIP CHARACTERS” feeling anymore because I’m like “whoa wait I don’t wanna ship Sakura to some side character - doesn’t it make more sense for her to be with Sasugay now?” I am profusely frustrated.
Thank god Sugisaki Yukiru has decided to continue D.N.Angel. I don’t know if I wanna continue buying the Naruto manga books anymore and feeding Kishimoto’s greed. He’s gotta stop giving spotlight to the freaking Uchihas every other story arc. Naruto himself has gotten the shaft ever since the time skip started, always being some kind of side character. I’m sure his time to shine will come - but not before we see 10x the shine of anyone with an Uchiha symbol branded on their butt.

He’s said before that Sasuke is his favorite character to draw I believe. Mwahaha, Sasuke is even cooler with each volume. It is only a matter of time before they really do rename the manga!
The idea that everyone just sees Sasuke for his eyes is hilarious. It’s like being a chick with huge breasts and a razor sharp wit; no wonder Sasuke is so emo.
You know at this point I think I support NaruSasu buttsecks - I mean he needs some kind of a stress relief from all that emoness and since Naruto’s been brought down to side character level that’s as close as he’ll get to being the “main” character again
Damn right! Uchiha clan sux!! I think Naruto should get Mangekyo eyeballs so he could become the main character again.
Kishimoto never hid the fact that Sasuke was his favourite character in the story, so it was quite obvious he’d give him a fair part in it. But I belive has a meaning. After all the manga is about Naruto´s journey to become Hokage, and Naruto won’t do it alone, so he has to develop all the other characters, otherwise it would be kind of boring.
It’s true that the Uchihas have most of that prime-time, but Sasuke is supposed to be Naruto’s best friedn and greatest rival. It is said by the “experts” that you should explore the heero and the anti-heero just as much.
But let me say … my liking for Itachi has just gone down a bit … he’s seriously paranoid (not that he wasn’t before, but now it’s way more obvious). Unlike what I’d expect, I’m actually rooting for that Sasuke brat that I used to hate so much.

I never liked Sasuke from the start of the series though it probably wouldn’t be a long shot renaming the manga to him or “Uchiha”. Though really the only Uchiha I’ve ever cared about was Mikoto. In the end though this whole Days of Our Shinboi Lives-soap opera of the clan really doesn’t do anything for me.
I mean I don’t mind the whole battle with Itachi, that’s his thing but now I feel like this Uchiha garbage is like overflowing into Naruto’s story almost enveloping it in the first place.
I know the hero needs a rival but it’s pathetic when the rival upstages the hero

When I heard Kishimoto said that next year (i.e. this year) would be all about Sasuke and Itachi, I decided it was time for a little R&R from Naruto -__-. I like crazy emo-ness in my characters, but Sasuke is an exception.
so, should it be called “niceboat: naruto S2 sasuke”?

Although this is the most interesting Sauske has been (ever!) in my opinion, I prefer the focus remain on the main charachters.
Usually the speculation for coming story lines is about Naruto, but for the past few weeks it’s been all about Sauske everywhere I go. Some people are loving it; I am not one of them.
Plus I’m going to start calling people “Uchiha Bitches” from now on. I don’t care if they don’t know what it means, it will be my lingo. And great photoshop & Rumiko Takahashi reference. I look over at my shelf of Inuyasha & Ranma books and DVDs with shame.
I hear that. Sasuke and Itachi make up the two lamest characters in the series, with SAsuke only being slightly less lame than Itachi. Itachi’s lameness is exponentiated by the fact that his whole motivation in life was to make his brother a whiny bitch-boy so that he’d kill his best friend and obtain awesome-eyes ripe for the plucking.
Heck yeah!! I’ve lost a lot of respect for Kishimoto since he added some uchiha shit in everything including the kyuubi’s rampage! Even if i’m a girl and like some emo/bishie characters, i never like saucekay. And this chapter really drop my liking to Itachi for his stupid reasoning to kill all Uchiha clan.

I say this to everybody who complains about sasuke’s time in the manga currently. “Please stop whining.” I detest sasuke and uchiha as much as the next person, but obviously we need this time to finish sasuke’s storyline, everyone else’s time in the series will come afterwards, just have some damned patience. Kishi knows what he’s doing.
Just think of how much better it’ll be when Naruto finally becomes the focus of the story again and wipes out the Uchiha clan.
Well the way I see it is that he is going for a repeat of the first Hokage x Uchiha situation. Konoha is probably going to be destroyed at some point by Akatsuki and then Naru x Sasuke are going to rebuild it, but this time together.
I mean after all the other Uchihas are dead Sasuke is free to rebuild the clan in his own image. Also this time the Kyuubi’s power will be used to rebuild rather than destroy Konoha.
Yah, it sucks that Naruto has been pretty neglected recently but, I think this is just being done to set the grand stage for later upon which Naruto will get to shine gloriously.
I would have to say that that Naruto a lot better than some other shonen series when it comes to “milking” the fanbase. Bleach is god awful, its plot hasn’t moved in like 100 chapters and OP has repeated the same formula since its inception (however OP does have some of the most lovable characters ever (Chopper is just so adorable and Nico Robin is one of my favorite shonen females).
Wow I can’t believe this crap. This brings me back to the first episodes of Naruto (not the time skip) when Shikamaru was saying to Naruto he’s not “fit” to be a main character. Also, when it was during the exams and stuff I noticed they focused like 3 episodes or MORE dedicated to Sasuke!
Perhaps Kisimoto is bored of Naruto’s character which is why he is focusing more on Sasuke and the Uchihas…maybe Sasuke Uchiha is Kisimoto’s persona…who knows?
What I do know is I hope they recognize they need to focus more on NARUTO and not Sasuke. I feel for you on this one. I’m not looking foward to the episodes dedicated to this bullshit.
And this spoiler really confuses me. Why would anyone waste their time doing all this bull?
I don’t know…hmm．…maybe it’s because Naruto is one of the most ANNOYING characters EVER?? It’s no coincidence that the storylines without Naruto has always better than the storylines with him Naruto. I don’t know how any of you can stand even looking at him. And it’s good that Naruto is barely in it now, it gives the story something fresh to look forward to.
Or are you guys so used to the conventional method of storytelling where there always has to be a main character to save the day? There are quite a few animes out there today that doesn’t have a main character at all, and there is no problem with it. Actually, I prefer that way.
I think the point here is that the manga is called “NARUTO” rather than say “The Adventures of Konoha Ninjas” or something where a specific character is named and therefore assumed that the story is about HIM…rather than say his rival/friend/whatever.

I am just incredibly disappointed…That face of insane Itachi just RUINED manga for me. It will probably take me a week to recover from that panel. Horrible. Okay, sorry, but I just thought it was so OOC. Kishimoto’s been building up Itachi’s character all this time to just F***** throw it out into a freaking garbage can???? I just can’t believe it.
Now I don’t really care anymore. God, suddenly, he made this whining Sasuke a good guy. Poor Sasuke, his brother wants to plug out his eyeballs. How freaky! WTF WTF???? I seriosuly was considering if I wanted to continue reading this manga.
And about Uchihas - yes, I did find it annoying that Uchihas were all around and a reason for everything ahppening there.
But seriously, Uchihas altogether don’t bother me as much as a SCREAMING ITACHI! That’s like breaking down what I had in mind for years now.
