He deliberately cloned her whole heart as well so that the feathers scattered from the clone Sakura has, how you say... Equivalent power/quality as the original Sakura's. Therefore, even if clone Sakura is killed, he can simply replace her with another clone Sakura over and over again while retaining the feathers that have been collected so far. I think he had foreseen that The Clone Syaoran would leave the gang and the Real Syaoran will join them.
