Winter Shows Snowball - Part 4

The only thing airing today was Cool x Spicy Wolf. It was really weird to see a period anime set in that time frame, and the music they used didn’t help me think otherwise. Horo reminds me of the firefox mascot lol. Lawrence was compared a lot to Lulu from Code Geass by NicoNicoers, but since I chose to ignore that show I could only think of Keita from Inukami or Kazuki from Busou Renkin. ON the topic of Inukami, I had the exact same deja vu’s due to the whole dude with wolf/dog/fox thing with him. I’m not sure where this show is going to go, but the studio also did Rizelmine and that LoveLove/Hit wo Nerae/Cosplayers series. All of them had really dumb fanservice, but they all had romantic comedy too so I’m hoping I’ll get to see that in this series as well. I’ll give it another ep or 2 before I make a decision about blogging it. Anybody know how long it’s supposed to run?

    It’s 12 episodes I believe. Btw, it’s based on a series of light novels.

    Amu’s transformations are way cooler.

    I don’t think this is suppose to be a romantic comedy….more like an adventure drama or something. :S

    and I think it’s 12 eps.

    The original story isn’t a romantic comedy, it’s a drama about economics. Yes, I realize, WTF? But I heard the story makes economics sound fun (from another person, I don’t remember who).

    But then again, this anime could be destined for epic failure, considering the studio that’s producing it..

    I haven’t gotten very far into the mangas, but I think we’re going to see Horo helping Lawrence get the better of other people in fairly complex trade deals, involving things like the value of various currencies. Horo was apparently voted the best character in any novel in some survey, so I think the appeal of the show will revolve around her, really.

    Yea this is just one of those series that I think asks for a special audience or perverts who like loli wolves

    She’s not exactly loli considering she’s a 250 year old wolf-spirit/god…

    A wolf is fine too…

    The first episode supposedly corresponds to the first few chapters of the manga, which I hear had the only actual fanservice. There might be some added in (it’s more likely than you think) but I’m actually really waiting for the economics aspect. I hope this does the same thing as moyashimon did with microbiology.

    You need to discover Banking to move to Economics! And Economics is essential for Corporation! Economics also enables Free Market!

    I’ll give it a try. At least I hope I don’t drop it on the second episode. xD that “fox” character is wayyy too weird! (and I’m the one whose favourite anime involves characters with bunny ears - Full Moon)

    Will you please please please blog the “Honey and Clover” live-action japanese drama that starts airing now?
