The Bastardization of Rosario + Vampire.
So because someone in my other post told me that Gonzo had butchered the manga, I decided to take their word for it and check out chapter 1 myself. Well they couldn’t have been more right, and for all those who haven’t read the manga I will bring you the breakdown of how a possibly good love comedy has been turned into a tits&ass festival.
Tsukune has been turned into a pussy harem lead character close to the pussy level of our favorite Makoto. In the manga he reacts like a normal person would if they were bitten by a vampire. In the anime it’s clearly “oh a hot girl with a ridiculously short skirt and huge tits just kissed (bitten) me, that must be a good thing and it will never harm me!” 
While asking to be friends with Tsukune in the manga Moka grabbed her tossed aside bike, but in the anime she had to glomp him and shove more titties in his face to convince him to be her sex friend.
I think in the anime the reaction from the students is because of how short her skirt is. I mean she’s flashing everyone as she walks by! 
If you look at the figure on the left, a girl and a boy are getting juice. Figure on the right shows a clear view of panties and cameltoes.
Left=”Look at my Rosario!” Right=”Look at my tits!” Tsukune even confirmed this by asking if he should be looking at one or the other in the anime.
This part of the manga is as much as you saw of this scene. In the anime it had to be extended to bukkake levels.
Why was there a need for her to be naked again?
When Moka transforms in the manga she grows claws and fangs. When Moka transforms in the anime she grows tits & ass.
I had no idea she kicked the guy until he went flying back because all they showed of her was panty shots during the entire fight.
The anime also failed to have Dark Moka explain about her “other self” making Tsukune realize she has “multiple personalities”. In the anime he was pussified even more and fell into more tits.
I have no idea why he ended up in her lap. She’s the one who passed out because of the reverse transformation. 
Who needs plot! Who cares that Tsukune has accidentally tore apart his school quitting notice! Let’s just show more stupid neck biting scenes wai! ^_^

I intend to continue reading the manga. I don’t intend to continue watching this pile of garbage.

Hinano - it’s Gonzo. Why were you expecting anything different?
BTW - it’s also too bad that Moka has been turned into a generic Gonzo girl - the manga design for her is actually quite attractive.
Anyway - check out H2O too (if you want material for another rant) - this is obviously going to be the “Season of Panchira”.

Ooh manga’s actually quite fun in a reverse karin way, anime looks terrible but thanks for the showing me where the light is.
Gonzo ruins everything. They used to be awesome but I hate them just as much as I hate SHAFT nowadays.

They should really rename this to BOOBS + vampire. With Vampire in like, size 0.5 font.

Sigh, I was really looking forward to this show. Why oh why does Gonzo ruin nearly everything. Extrange told me that the Dragonaut manga was actually pretty good, and look what they did to that show. Ruining another manga is so…..unfortunate. I mean it isn’t all bad, Seto no Hanayome was awesome, but boooooo to most of the rest. I will make an eternal sadface.
I actually really liked NHK ni Youkoso a lot. When Gonzo produces an anime with minimal fanservice, its actually pretty decent. Too bad there are a rare few shows like that
Mmmm yeah NHK was pretty good, I mean Gonzo has done stuff I’ve liked over the years: Last Exile, first season of FMP, NHK ni Youkoso, Kaze no Stigma, and Seto no Hanayome. But along side that they have ruined or trainwrecked a lot of stuff. I really hope they don’t screw up Special A this year either, I’ve looked at the story as well as the seiyuu and I’m looking forward to it, but I’m afraid at this point.
Wow, when I saw the pictures of the episode I thought “this show isn’t bad after all!”, but when I saw the episode, it was lots of fanservice and signs of a show wasting potential…yet again.
Despite the manga butchering, I plan on following this show(if it were more than 13 episodes, I’d seriously reconsider).
I thought Kaze no Stigma was done by Studio Deen or JC Staff or someone ?_? I Didn’t really like it though, it felt really stereotypical/generic
I almost lost interest in the manga at the start because it was SO episodic. Literally every chapter was: Conflict with monster student–> Tsukune pulls off Moka’s rosario–> Dark Moka beats up the monster student. After a couple volumes though it pick up and bigger storylines started. It’s fairly fun so far. Too bad the anime is shaping up to be awful.

Kaze no Stigma was definitely Gonzo. And I actually got around to watching this now that the subs were out and I thought it was pretty good actually. I’ve read the manga and the differences are kinda minor to me, adding ecchi doesn’t bother me at all really.
still… i prefer this gal for the vamp.. she looks much better compare to the manga XD… well i really dun mind the 1min long of pants scence!! xD
but the transforming part was a bit out was’t it.. y did she had to do the kick lol… kicks everything cool out of it -_-” and becomes weird

Well I’m glad you decided to take a look for yourself on this one, However let me give you a warning for the manga. The first handful of chapters are all very very boring and follow a seemingly “monster of the week” formula. To further annoy you the monsters sometimes turn into new members of his monster harem, but those characters get better developed later on and act more independent than your a-typical harem girls. So I guess ultimately what I’m trying to say here is that you’ve gotta go through quite a few chapters before the actual story beings to move and ultimately get pretty good.

welll hino.. u wun be complaining when u see tsukune transforming into a vampire… and owning all the other monsters… prob he’s juz a human and when human gets power… it tends to put their life in danger… which in his case.. he turns into a super killing mechine well.. a mindless goul that is… rofl…
thank you for pointing out the flaws of the anime .. i knew the manga wasnt as bad or had this much fanservice.
The manga’s pretty generic harem, but at least it’s entertaining generic harem. I do find it weird how the main guy character goes from loser to shoujo manga hero and back, though… but that’s usually Moka’s fault. She trained him, and she does other things that get him some backbone and a ‘badass’ look.

Pure brilliance! I wish the world had more criticisms/reviews like this one. Blunt and frank yet logical; that’s how it’s supposed to be. Although honestly I like the anime, it’s been pretty interesting so far (no witticism intended). I’m not huge on the details like looks, but it IS part of the show, so it’s considered as a factor.
But yet again, kudos to this review, that’s a hand down. Proving the claims with proof was a really good approach; it helps avoid one-line biased insults. Good job man.

LOL! At first I didn’t think the anime was that bad. Well at least getting past the fanservice. It gets better in the second episode. Then of course I see your post and I’m like “oh my god what the hell happened?!” They really did butcher it, and now I’m asking myself why I’m still watching this. Well yes they completely butchered the first chapter of the manga to anime. The second chapter of the manga to anime was good though. Although they still had the crappy transformation even though it was shortened. Also Kurumu was kicked and not slammed to the ground like I would have liked to see. Not to mention once again we could hardly see the kick, but it was kinda funny to see her go flying through trees untill she finally slammed into one. Well I’m going to keep watching and hope it gets better. I still think the manga is a hell of a lot better but I can’t resist seeing it animated. I still keep thinking though how they’re going to condense this into 13 episodes. Oh why do I get a bad feeling?

Okay so, hands up, who here, if they were bitten by a vampire, would just sit there, look around frantically, and shout ‘I have been bitten by a vampire.’ And now, who would GET UP AND RUN FOR THEIR GOD DAMN LIFE? Both versions are idiotic.

Her skirt looks a heck of a lot shorter in those manga frames! Just because the artist didn’t draw panties/know much about anatomy doesn’t change a thing.

He figures it out for himself in the anime (in a subtle yet clear expose, which is a lot nicer than just being slapped in the face witha wet trout about it). I thought you were complaining that anime Tsukune was dumber, when in fact he seems smarter?

1st of all , anime made in JAPAN are for JAPANESE market in general ,

i usually DONT post anime blogs but seeing as you all anime weeboo wanabees compared to us oldschool OTAKU’s i rly must put my rant as well … dont like to watch this particular anime …plese dont then and plese save your comments for yourself , of the MILLIONS of animes spewing out from japan im sure you can find a decent anime that suite your taste .. like say .. DOREAMON !
PS: i do like both the manga and anime , as do hundreds of titles i’ve seen , some i watch once and put aside .. other over again
