Argh what
is the anime doing to MY Shugo Chara???? The screenshot of Ikuto here is about the only accurate thing in the whole episode. As usual they switched the seasons but that’s the least of my concerns. The whole hawt scene of Amu and Ikuto going “let’s see if my key will fit into your lock” rawr is gone!! Also what happened to Amu singing to Ikuto’s violin? Why is anime Ikuto such a dickhead? He’s so much nicer to Amu in the manga =_=; Continue Reading »

So basically I sat down and watched that Haruka route special OVA thing of Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. I should be happy but the entire episode made me sick
I saw KimiNozo when it first aired which was like 4 years ago so when watching this I had no recollection of anything or anyone - all I remembered was “Mitsuki is a WHORE!” So really based on “Mitsuki is a whore he shoulda ended up with Haruka” is how I watched this show. Continue Reading »

First of all I’d like to point out that Fuuko Filler was strangely unexpected and in some sense annoying because like…whoa go away gir’friend you’re out of the harem pool now. You stay dead until we need you for Nagisa’s conclusion dang it! Anyhoo today’s episode was generally surprising, but in a good way because KyoAni took some story elements and made them more emotional than I expected. For example the scene of Kotomi crying like that…I guess you get a different impression of seeing her rolling on the ground then just seeing a still image with tears in its eyes. Also when Tomoya enters the room full of book cut-outs, it was more impacting seeing the whole room rather than just a little bit of it like in the game CG. Also for those who want a spoiler:Kotomi’s parents are dead and all the cutouts are from books where their work/names are mentioned. (Highlight to see
) Also yay for inserting Kanon fodder into this week’s episode with the stuffed anteater.
Upcoming Attractions: Tomoya tries to cleanup Kotomi’s backyard to make it the way it was in the good ol’ days.

Alright
so I really enjoyed the ending of this series a lot more than Yukan Club. I guess I’m biased because I work at a Japanese company and I can relate to some of the retarded crap that went on in the show. Also I’m an old fart so any work drama I can relate to I’d probably enjoy. The only thing that I wish they had was some romance between Hiroko and Tanaka, but I guess I’ll take what I can get with the “I like…the you that’s so disorganized and hard working” or whatever he said. I know
it’s been a while since I blogged Yukan Club but I figured I might as well say a few words since it’s the last episode. The 2 episodes prior to this were really boring to me and I just ended up scrolling through because I just couldn’t watch it. The problem with this show is that you can only watch the exact same plotline for so long. I almost couldn’t make it through this episode but things got interesting when the Yukan Club gang got their asses kicked and had to take a more tricky approach to beat the bad guy. Also the story is about them “saving the school”. I didn’t expect a grand finale but I guess this is a bit disappointing and incomplete. At this rate they coulda just ended it on like episode 6 and it wouldn’t have made a difference. Ah well if you’re looking for a good Junno drama I recommend Hanayome to Papa, and a god Jin drama I recommend Anego.

Ok so a
kind reader of my blog has uploaded volumes 1-10 for me and I’m currently reading Volume 3 of the manga. I can’t say anything “wowey” just yet but I guess the anime focuses on more silly stuff than the manga did. Actually this week was probably closer to the “atmosphere” of the manga because it was more serious than humorous. (There was only a small amount of Yako abuse and Godai didn’t even show up.) So my big question is (and feel free to spoil me in the comments) is Sasazuka = Sai?? He said he “took on a form of a cop” and I always thought he kinda LOOKED like Sasazuka…and since his aim is to catch Neuro while he “eats” is this all true??? I think the Sai thing is what has probably intrigued me the most about this show thus far. Otherwise the “bad guy of the week” was getting kinda stale. Hope the show continues with this trend.
Upcoming Attractions: Continuation of this week’s story.
