Genshiken II - 12 (Finale)

Wait….where’s the rest? Is there an OVA coming, can anyone confirm? I want my SasaOgiue stuff! NOoooo!! Anyway hope you all had a merry christmas. Last year the finale on xmas was for Bokura Ga Ita (with also a disappointing ending lol.) The episode reminded me a bit of NHK ni Youkoso after seeing Sasahara surrounded in a dark room fulla trash bags. Ah well a great series, with a not so great ending. They also included a silly “fanservice” Ogiue scene for all the pervs who like her :lol: Hopefully there will be some sort of upcoming OVA to complete the story.

    Pervs? There are more women closer to her build than someone like Ohno’s… although there are even more who are closer to Yabusaki-san’s than Oguie’s, at least in North America, where they tend closer to Oguie’s.

    Given that we’ve got another two or three volumes of manga worth of stuff to cover here, I’m also hoping for an OVA to close the story off - especially with the final stretch graduating everyone else but Ohno and Oguie.

    That’s why I included Yabusaki-san there, Hinano. At least they’re not all being drawn as overly busty, extremely skinny (for the chest they have) types like Angela there…

    Aside from that: I’m sure some OVA or next season will come if the end was disappointing, especially since the manga ended so nicely, isn’t it?

    Sasahara x Ogiue is kinda .. big for a OVA, even if it was 4 episodes it could only really touch the part that takes place in the forest retreat.

    I am not sure but if Ohno have not cosplayed raped Ogiue then that bit have not started, I think its better to do it in a 3rd season since a OVA would have too much of a serious tone since Sasahara x Ogiue relation is done in that tone.

    There can’t be a third season though. There’s what, 2 chapters of vol8 and vol9 left in the manga that hasn’t been covered. I really hoping for extra eps on the dvds just so that we can finish what is otherwise a great anime.

    You add padding … its not unheard of and they already done it in this season.

    Besides Sasahara /Ogiue is complicated because is not as the other 2 couples in the club, if you add a OVA how many episodes you dedicate to it? 2? (too short) 4? (enough to cover the forest retreat) 6? (enough to cover the manga chapters but forget about the buildup) … if you make a OVA with 6 episodes then you just need 6 more and then you have a TV season.

    Actually it’s two chapters left of Volume 7, all of Volume 8, AND all of Volume 9.

    And we know Studio ARMS is more than willing to create new content.

    A new series is very doable.
