Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai - 24 (Finale)
Wow
so it’s finally over. The day of redemption is finally here, the festival without murders and the not so cute grown up Rika (wtf?) I remember reading on wikipedia that at the end when Takano was gonna shoot (whoever she was gonna shoot), Hanyuu got in the way and froze time. Erm I was confused when in the anime she just…missed. I thought Hanyuu was supposed to like take the hit, say her goodbyes to Rika and then everyone lived happily ever after? O.o; But actually she wakes up the next day in the same futon as Rika.. weird.
I was 
sorta confused by the blurb at the end. I get it that it was adult Rika but…why was Takano’s lifespan reset ?_? At first I thought “oh maybe Takano and Tomitake get a happy ending and it’s their daughter” but then I saw the “parents” and I’m like “wait what? 
” In addition to add to the confusion, various blogs have reported that Higurashi will get a 3rd season. Pardon me but for what? Are they planning to animate all those completely random arcs that came after the game ended? Sorry not interested. For me, Higurashi ends today. It was a nice ride everyone, thanks for joining me!

i love the story and everything else for this season but sometimes it’s really confusing (-_-”) i get no clue of wad dicky happen and i go like ” wtf just happen ??????????” some 1 explain!!!! grown up rika looks hot… XD

Now to see what that rumored Season 3 is: OVA, maybe a redo of the first season (a la KyoAni with Clannad and Kanon), or something else?
Mind you, Rika’s not ‘cute’ - attractive, to be sure, but not ‘cute’… which is a good thing, given that her cuteness was basically all babyfat and of the type which draws all the wrong sorts to this show. At least until they start swinging axes and baseball bats at one another…
Have anyone thought that it could be a completely very different cast of characters for the rumored 3rd season? This what I was thinking.

Mmh, I thought Hanyuu deflected the bullet.
And Rika could have traveled back in time since she is Oyashiro-sama’s descendant; she might have “inherited” Hanyuu’s space/time hax (and being able to use it until she grew up).
And I have no clue what the 3rd season could be about.

After my screams of “DO NOT WANT!” when I saw older Rika, I too thought it was the child of Takano and Tomitake. When I saw the parents I was like, “Wha? Pime Taradox?” I think that whole thing ruined the show because it’s totally random and it might be explained in the 3rd season, but who knows?
Well, I hope Takano finds some peace with Tomitake, anyway yay for Scooby Gang of Hinamizawa, Okonogi was right that they could make great spec ops team
As for the 3rd season, I have no ide what they want to achieve. As far as 3rd seasons go I’m going to watch Zero no tsukaima.
