sixten> Hey, don't forget about Myself; Yourself too, which this past episode it had a surprising twist with one of the characters (if anyone have been following this anime from the start, which is also still awesome episode by episode by its plot).

I think I'm still enjoying Shugo Chara because I made it a point -not- to read the manga, after coming to the realization I can do nothing but trash manga-based anime if I have something to compare it to. =p

It does bother me that Satelight can somehow animate this just fine but couldn't pull it together for Kamichama Karin... but I guess they needed a new cash cow and this is it.

I didnt get the sub yet, Hinano, and I am not so fluent in Japanese, but the meaning of the scene was obvious...
@ ghost: wrong thread? anyway I like Kimikiss too, because it is somewhere in the middle ground between reality and datingsimland...

I know it can be frustrating to see Mao turning to the Kouichi side after being so focused on Kai at the beginning. But it's not at all unrealistic. There were warning signs from their very first date, that their ambitions may not be compatible. Also, this wouldn't be the first time someone rushed headlong into a relationship only to realize later that what she has may not be what she wants. I've seen it happen in real life - with me as the loser point of the triangle, in fact.

And it's not like Mao's attraction to Kouichi came out of the blue. Throughout the series and especially this last episode, it's been shown that she has a connection to and understanding of him, probably because of their childhood friend status, that may be deeper and stronger than "Damn, Kai is hot and talented."

You were worried about Kimikiss getting 10 episodes of To-Heart-flavored filler, dragging the Yuumi-Kouichi blushfest out for far too long. But now we're getting some conflict and drama. You shouldn't be complaining.

Although Kimikiss has weak spots and many "only happens in anime" moments, it manages to tell a realistic and dynamic set of love stories without supernatural phenomena. Without girls fading from memory like Clannad, robots like To Heart, magical trees like Da Capo, or surrealistic, mentally damaged girls like ef (which is still awesome though), Kimikiss just keeps it real. It would be the best show of this season if it weren't for Minami-ke.
