Naruto -Shippuuden- 258

Published by Hinano at 8:11 pm under Naruto

Darn, I was hoping Sai’s abs would be more emphasized like they were in the manga. So the whole episode pretty much dealt with the simulation between Yamato’s team and what would be Kabuto (woops spoiler!) Surprisingly this lasted only 1 episode thank god and not 2. I thought they’d just drag on with this stupid training for 2 eps or something. Although I have a feeling the oro/naruto/kabuto battle is gonna take like 10 episodes. I think I’d rather them just skip a week of Naruto, then stretch out 2 pages of manga into like 4 episodes. It becomes such a drag to watch - as opposed to waiting a week or 2 then seeing it all in its right speed. (Sometimes I wonder if running Naruto on fast forward will make it more interesting. Those Team Gai scenes in the Gaara arc were the worst!!)

Upcoming Attractions: Kabuto!

Gave up on Naruto a long time ago, ever since they started pulling out the 2 year filler part, but i still find myself watching it sometimes. Shippuuden is not as good as the original series, which had plenty of emotions and great fighting. Just seems that they drag out this series so much, sigh.

I had just totally blocked the Gai scenes out of my mind; Thanks Hinani! :P

I’m getting that same anticipated/dread feeling that comes with a pivotal point in Naruto. As you described, the orochimaru stuff will (possibly) be dragged out and that’s what I’m really waiting for, that and that other stuff with Orochimaru (white snake, comprende?)

But we’ll see, they handled Sakura well enough.

I’m still wondering about “Root”. Sai’s arc and Jiraya’s warning in the manga to Tsunade have brought all of that back. It’s got me pondering. Which only makes anticipation worse.

John> Shippuuden in the manga is great! Too bad with the anime they really are dragging it out and totally killing the emotions/battles and the meaning they’re supposed to relay to the viewers.

Sabrina> LOL. Yea to be honest I wonder if I’ll still be keeping up with the Naruto anime by the time they even reach Karin XD

I dunno, I thought the Team Gai fights were so bad they were almost funny.

But yeah, Shippuden’s pacing is pretty bad. I’d almost prefer fillers to the draaaaagging. Almost.

I watched the “boring” part of the Gaara arc at 2x speed using KMPlayer. The Sakura part is much better. The Naruto and Gai parts are still stupid, but at least I’ve only wasted 12 mins instead of 24.

I think I’ll keep up with Naruto ’til the end….just so I have something to justify my countless hours of watching fillers and drag-giness damn it!

YES! i agree that the Team Gai scenes are really meaningless! I think it is really lame that they had to fight with “themselves’ for several episodes and in the endk, defeat them with the help of a senseless theory! >.
