I really like
the way this anime is executed because it emphasizes things I didn’t really catch while reading the manga. They emphasize Sasahara’s crush on Ogiue, so much more than they did in the manga which makes it a lot more apparent. (I mean is it more obvious than him thinking about her while playing an eroge? XD) Also they focus on how depressed he gets because he keeps getting rejected for jobs he interviews for. That can be tough, and boy do I know that. Also the “nightmare” Saki had on the train…I could probably picture that actually happening. I’m so pissed that Saki ends up with Kohsafag. Madarame would like drop his eroge and do her 20 times

… SakiMada is like KousakaMada or SakiKuchi - not fit for human consumption. I think I prefer things as they are - the childhood friend with the childhood friend, and then the ’shared interests’ pairings with Madarame on the sidelines.
I am against SakiMada, just comes off as too unseemly…
Besides just because Kohsaka is not keen on doing the nasty that often does not mean that 20 times with Madrame is going to provide the healthy relationship that Saki needs anyway. I for one so not want to see Kohsaka as a perv that pressures Saki for a mating ritual on an hourly or daily basis.
Why is Saki so shallow. She only likes “Kohsafag” because of his looks. He has no personality. He is only a trophy bf. Madarame, please take Saki for yourself!

DS: She likes Kousaka because they’ve known each other since childhood, and she used to bug him a LOT when he was a kid… which is one way of showing interest, at least for boys. And she’s always been the ‘man’ in their relationship, as far as I can tell, while Kousaka’s been pretty accepting and passive, which is the traditional ‘feminine’ role, although they do apparently do some role-reversals in bed.
Seriously, Madarame and Saki’s like trying to pair off Madarame with Kuchi… or anyone with Kuchi. It’s just… unnatural.
Blah if you read the manga there’s totally some Madarame x Saki hintage!
I guess the anime is cutting out all the stuff with Sasahara’s sister Keiko and using Kuchi instead. I recall in the manga that Keiko was the one who mentioned taking the summer trip and wondering if Oguie and Sasa were dating. Doesn’t make much of a difference without her anyway. I guess Kuchi makes it better for plugging in more otaku stuff.
I’ve been reading the manga. They talk, Madarame respects her opinions and Saki talks with him like he’s a human being when others she knows aren’t about (witness the sushi incident), but that’s IT.
Hell, there’s more between Madarame and Kuchi than there is between those two, otherwise; Madarame’s interested in the girls of the club… but he’s never moved in, either out of fear or the idea that he can’t get more than the time of day out of them… or in Ohno’s case, they dont’ have as many shared interests as Tanaka and Ohno have.
That, and I think Oguie scares him silly. Keiko MIGHT be a target… but I doubt it, due to the age gap and her even lower levels of ‘otaku interest’ than even Saki has, and the latter has that… put into her by Kousaka, as well as some of the feelings of belonging she got during the President Ritsuko cosplay. You must admit, they only (Saki and the rest of the Genshiken) really bond when the latter gets annoyed by something enough to take action of sorts.
I still say Angela (Ohno’s American friend, the tall one) is the perfect match for Madarame. Her glasses fetish and Madarame’s hint of interest scream couple for me. Plus her ‘get what you want no matter what’ American attitude would overcome Madarame’s shyness. It’ll be similar to SakiKousaka, but she won’t be as harsh.
