Da Capo II - 08
Finally some
drama this week, although it wasn’t as dramatic as I had hoped it would be. A billboard randomly falls on top of Minatsu and Yume, and naturally Yume gets saved Minatsu gets flattened…or not because she’s a ROBOTTO. Now the dorama is “oh noes we all know she’s a robot we have to treat her the same” and “if this gets out she will be put to sleep like old yeller!” I’m having serious doubts that this will be a 12 episode series. I mean they’re getting nowhere and now they’re throwing THIS as their dramatic point? Wasn’t Da Capo supposed to be ultimately shisucon? I don’t see any movement from the Yume side, and Koko is way ahead of everybody else.

No, Da Capo(s) are eroge games … I seen people calling it sistercon but that is because the anime decided to go for that route TWICE, I also seen people calling it “Da Crapo”, not that I ever watched it to be sure its that bad.
Of course that anime based on a eroge game should be enough to ring alarm bells, I do not playing some of then (XChange Alternative was pretty funny to me in a lot of areas, Crescendo was quite good) but it seems anime adaptations almost invariable horrible … Utawarerumono was the only one I did not disappointed me (even if the final episodes were not exactly up my liking but it seems the game storyline was like that so I cannot complain).
I’ve liked a lot of eroge adaptations, and in fact I really enjoyed DC I, so I guess the fact that it’s not living up to its predecessor is a big downfall for me.

Isn’t Otome the main heroine? In the anime they are making her look like some sort of secondary character. Maybe next week they’re going to reveal she was the one who caused the billboard to fall with a wish granted by the magical sakura tree! She’s planning to kill the competition!

Taiyaki> I thought Yume was mainly because they made Horie Yui voice her and Hocchan always seems to get important roles. And yes she is being portrayed as some secondary character lol
I have a good rule of thumb that has served me quite well.
Don’t watch shows with Whorei Yui as the lead character.
So far in two years, there are none in the watch list.

i dun tink koko is way ahead… just befor the ed came out they gave her the lonely shot.. which makes me think it’s nt gona be long befor she gets ditch..
Heh she’s gotten the “lonely shot” in like 4 episodes and so far Nanaka got the boot immediately. I dunno anymore

So you must hate Love Hina.
I like Horie. I don’t like the constant typecasting she gets. I also don’t like yet another “my girlfriend is an android” borderline porn anime. (At least do it for lulz like Koharu Biyori)
