Naruto -Shippuuden- 252
Naruto was
pretty interesting this week to say the least. Well interesting if you actually read the manga and can breathe a sigh of relief that the neverending Gaara arc is over. It’s really amazing how long a handshake can take and how long Sakura touching a gravestone can take. Sometimes I wonder if before they complete the episode they like take some scenes and just put them in slow motion in order to fill in the exact time slot? I can’t think of any other reason. Basically the first half of the episode was a filler drag up until they were standing at Chiyo’s grave. Honestly why couldn’t we just skip all that. With them constantly skipping Naruto air dates it really makes me wonder what the hell their planning is like.
But anyway without sounding like a broken record, I’m so glad they kept in the manga jokes with the Gai/Kakashi piggy back. Actually adding the car beep noise when Lee wanted to carry Neji was hillarious!
Pierrot gets 2 thumbs up for that XD. Unfortunately that 2 thumbs up turns into 2 thumbs down with their voice selection for Tobi. What. The. FUCK. Why do they pick the guy who always voices the “stupid sidekick” character as Tobi? OK I know at first Tobi is basically that - a stupid sidekick character. But now that we’ve seen where the manga has progressed and this totally DOES NOT MATCH HIS REAL PERSONALITY VOICE. God he’s such an important character and he has the gayest fucking voice UGH. On the other hand, Sai’s voices suits him perfectly (same guy as Yuuji from Shana/Saito from ZnT). I’m pumped for next week.
Upcoming Attractions: Naruhina tards will be happy. ![]()

blahh.. the way gai piggybag kakashi looks weird… how should i say… ehh.. juz that it does’t seem right… i think i’ll use the word… unappealing… the hell is wif that look lmao!!!
I think when it comes down to Tobi revealing his true nature his voice will change. He’s got Onizuka voicing his character after all!
I was going to say something similar to what Leon has posted, either his voice will actually change, or just the “Tone” and manner of speaking will change with the character.
I am not sure of the Spelling of this name, but Johnny Young Bosh did the English voice for Eureka 7 and has the voice of a little kid, a very soft spoken child’s voice, but as the character faced dramatic elements, the same voice seemed to “toughen up” just right when needed, giving the perfect mix of vulnerability and determination that you wouldn’t expect would come from the same character voice.
Like when Kagome would go off on Inuyasha.
So sweet and gentle can turn in a heartbeat. I’m assuming stupid sidekick can have the same effect; and imagine the dramatics when it occurs.
WEll I hope so haha. I don’t think I recall that guy ever playing any seriously evil voices, just stupid sidekick ones XD
i wish it would come out faster… XD
lol Gai piggyback… so halarious
