When the dog ho changed from dog to mom it made me laugh so hard. I was like “so this is what Japanese women must feel like! They want to be free like a dog but they can’t so they must put on a sweet persona…but deep down inside they’re total bitches!!” Regardless, I had a bowl of shits and giggles…especially during the deactivating bomb scenes. It’s been a while since I’ve seen one of those :’D.

Man what a great episode. Nothing like seeing the artists point of view of Comiket. My favorite quote has gotta be Sasahara’s “When they flip through and don’t buy it, it’s kinda irritating.” DAMN STRAIGHT SASAHARA. WELCOME TO MY MANGA NEXT! Sometimes I say to myself that I kinda wanna go to Comiket but then seeing all those people stand in the stinky heat I’d probably lose my mind. I also read on the comiket cosplay page and it’s all organized and shit. You can’t just stroll in looking like a crossdressing Rock Lee. You gotta reserve a spot, pay money for a changing room and walk in and walk out of the place in regular clothes. Pretty different from US cons. JP also informed me that they have man and woman circle days. So I guess on day 1 you can buy lesbian porn but on day 2 you can buy gay porn! Do they have non-porn het day? I’d sign up for that! Oh well the chances of me going to Comiket, let alone selling there are slim to none so I just have to enjoy what I can from this anime.

Also, LOL. Where’s the crotch bulge?

So as I mentioned in the previous post I went to Kinokuniya and picked up a new series called “The Student Council President is a Maid”. I’ve been eyeing this damn thing ever since I saw a short preview of it in one of those booklets that they stuff into mangas. This was was in my last volume of Fruits Basket, so as you guessed it’s printed in Hana to Yume. Once again all scans here are done by me, I really don’t know what group if any is scanlating this series. I bought volumes 1-3 so I will do reviews of 2 and 3 further in the week. Anyway the story begins with a violent student council president named Misaki (16 years old), who has to be violent to keep all the boys in line since the school seems to have a shortage of females. So this morning one of my Japanese coworkers informed me that Kinokuniya had opened literally 1 block from where I work. I was like whoa already? It turns out they have moved their office from the Rockafeller center and are now renting that space out. The new Kinokuniya is HIROOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIII! (Very spacious.) The first floor is mostly magazines and merchandise such as shirts, pens, phone straps, figures etc. Continue Reading »
