Rental Magica - This COULD be a cool show…10 years ago. Something about it just reminds me of something I must have seen ages ago and it almost feels like a deja vu to me. The only thing I can really think of is Gatekeepers and xxxHolic but there’s definitely something familiar about this whole atmosphere. Unfortunately it fails to impress me and nothing about it stands out enough to keep me glued to the screen. ef -tale of memories - I HATE YOU SHAFT DIE IN A FIRE YOU RUINED WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD SHOW. No seriously, why the hell do they gotta insert weird scenes every 5 minutes? This isn’t Zetsubou Sensei or Negima, for a serious anime couldn’t you at least toned down your stupid effects? We don’t need one every second to get the point accross, in fact you are throwing me off my emotional train of thought here by inserting random shit that totally disrupts the flow of the show. This episode shoulda been called The End of Mushigelion because I had some major dejavu. The ending was pretty cool if you put that factor aside though. I still don’t get this series. I mean I get what’s going on but like why or what’s gonna happen next is still pretty bimyou~ which is another infamous eva trait. I know there’s a season 2 coming so I guess I don’t mind the open ended “ending” but I’m hoping in season 2 the questions will get resolved because I’m still pretty confused on the whole garden thing, and the whole bug and that crazy evil butterfly woman…yea that’s really beyond me. Also is Haji not dead? I wish he was. He was incredibly annoying. Well here’s looking forward to season 2!
