Ok now that I’m back from work (and an office party) I finally sat down to watch this episode. My creative juices went flowing and so came out this:

To be honest, this seemed cooler when I was reading people’s blogs and looking at screencaps. When watching I felt like I’ve been let down because I expected it to be Higurashi level gruesome but they seemed to edit out a lot of sound effects that you could barely even tell wtf was going on. Please do not confuse this with Kamichama Karin. This is the manga which had an anime series after it by JC Staff and I think is licensed in English under the title “Chibi Vampire”. (Which is stupid as hell since Karin isn’t chibi nor a vampire wtf.) I figured I’d squash my review for both volumes into 1 post since they really focused on only 1 thing in both volumes. I’d also like to point out that I love this manga, and if you’re a fan of mushy lovey dovey stuff you should really get this. It’s not as fanservicy as the anime and focuses a lot more on relationships between Karin and her family and Usui Kenta rather than only on her nose bleeding all the time. (JC Staff has a great way of runing stories.) Anyway volume 11 focuses on Anju growing up and becoming a vampire, while volume 12 focuses on the relationship between Karin & Kenta. And so with this my Ragnarok Online II adventure comes to an end. So after playing RO2 for about 4 months I have concluded this is it for me and I’ll let the developers work on the game…and when it’s all fixed up with more content, I will welcome it back with open arms. After playing KRO and JRO I got a chance to interact with both the Korean, and Japanese players. Of course it was much easier in Japanese since I could actually communicate with people. It was a fun ride, although it got draggy towards the end when basically you got to the “end” of the game content that they let us beta testers play with.

Gung Ho had originally planned to release the game pay to play as of tomorrow, however because of the negative response from the players, they have decided to halt the release and take the game down for a rehaul. KRO beta is still running but they’ve not really added any new content so I have no plans to come back. Recently I got my hands on this Japanese paint program called “Paint Tool Sai” and I can’t stop drawing, so I’d rather occupy my time with that and prepare myself for Manga Next. RO2 has taken up most if not all of my summer and now it’s time to say goodbye. If you’d like to see my screenshot gallery for both the KRO and JRO betas, please go here.

Well since I was told that this show was only gonna be 13 episodes I figured I’d do some sort of conclusion post since I did watch most of the series. (Btw we didn’t need to see that dude’s crotch in the camera xDDDD) The one thing that I kept thinking the WHOLE TIME is that Amuro was actually a mermaid. Kinda like in Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch that she’s like a human but if she’s splashed with water she turns into a mermaid etc. (They coulda changed the conditions here for all I know.) Then it turns out…she’s just a water maniac from Okinawa…who happens to SWIM like a mermaid. Wow o_O; Urhm that really threw me off. Also the relationship between Amuro & Kaname was concluded in a sloppy fashion.

I didn’t mind them leaving it in an open ended humorous level, but then after the credits they had random shots of Amuro getting jealous of Shizuoka & Kaname…then in the final screeny kissing him. I’m a big fan of this…when it’s done in a flow like fashion…not when we feel like it’s all open ended then suddenly in like 5 minutes Amuro changes her mind and decides “I WANT KANAME YOWZA!” So yea that sorta ruined the show for me. :S According to JP the manga isn’t as funny - similarly to how the Ouran manga isn’t as funny as the anime either.

Well looks like Sugar Sugar Rune has finally come to an end, in both anime and now manga form. I figured since it’s the last one I’d get the special edition which included a little booklet that contained a short story about Hiroshi (the dog) taking on multiple forms, color illustrations and a character profiles page. Thanks to this page I managed to finally learn how the hell their names are written in English…especially “Uu”…which is actually HOUX. LOL I feel like I’ve made this mistake with another show before…but anyway filled with shoujo goodness here’s the SSRune finale. Continue Reading »

So this evening I finally sat down to watch the Shana movie. Needless to say after seeing 20 minutes of repeated footage, i skipped all the way to the end until I saw something new. I didn’t know this was gonna be a recap movie because I avoided all blogs and screencaps in order to avoid spoilers. The last part was pretty cool but this whole movie made me feel like they basically wanted to redo the fight between Shana & the blue haired roripedofin so they added new animation footage near the end. Unfortunately they failed to keep Shana in character because after that the whole time she was naked but neither she nor Yuuji said anything. I don’t know if I have too much ZnT on my mind but I expected her to smack him and yell or run off or do something in a tsundere fashion. But no they just…had a manly handshake as they smiled gleefully at the stars. Well I didn’t see THAT one coming!

Also the omake Shana-tan movie….wasn’t really funny except where Yoshida goes “CHIKUSHO!” and “YUKARI KOROSU~<3″. I dunno at this rate I’m not really thrilled for season 2. I think this show had a lot of hated characters - especially the pink hair maid and Hekaslut. (I mean all she did was float and moan for like 6 episodes .=_=)

So I picked up the latest volume in this ongoing shoujo series. Before I proceed I just want to make one thing clear. (Although most people who find this site will probably not read this and ask anyway.) I purchase all my manga k? Even when I’ll post some review about a Naruto chapter - I’ll go and buy the freaking manga when the book’s released anyway. Every Manga Review I do is based on something I bought so asking me “where can I download it??” is like asking in a dog breeder if he has any kittens for sale. On the point of buying manga, I buy Japanese manga. Similarly asking me where can you get the English version…is retarded. Just because it’s in English in my posts doesn’t mean the original manga is in ENGLISH. I scanlate it for you guys so you can get the point of my post!
