Return of the Elephants: Inukami the Movie!

This movie is such win. I love Inukami, I’ll watch the same shit for another 26 episodes because I laughed every episode of the TV series. I’m really sad the movie wasn’t longer because I had expected 90 minutes of epic elephant lasers. Actually I’m disappointed Keita didn’t shoot lasers out of his cock and instead jumped around on the big stone frog. The manly gar elephant hug at the end made up for it. Also the scene in my screencap is what made me laugh out loud the most. Something about sticking man ass into the camera makes me laugh to tears. Maybe because typically its always some girl’s boobs or crotch, so this is (in a strange way) a refresher. If you think Inukami has fanservice you’re wrong: It has manservice. :’D

    I was endlessly amused by how this is exactly the sort of thing that a show like Ikkitousen can get away with, but when you have a naked dude sticking his ass into the camera instead of a naked girl, it’s “hilarious” and “wrong”.

    This movie was so wrong! Naked men? wtf! wtf! Who would want to watch that!!!1

    Yea, I was kind of disappointed that this wasn’t a full length movie. I lol’d a lot at the typical Inukami plot though.

    I have to agree with you about the Inukami TV series Hinano. It’s one of the funniest I’ve seen in a long while.

    I thought the whole naked man thing was a brilliant idea as anyone who’s watched the show will know that Keita will try it on with ANY woman he likes the look of (but thankfully he is NOT Makoto from School Days - a death was never more deserving - nice boat btw).

    My initial reaction to Inukami was “Oh crap. It’s Amaenaideyo all over again”. To say I was VERY wrong is an understatement. The punishment for ogling or trying it on with another woman? Getting dumped stark b*ll*ck naked in the middle of a busy shopping district (and then arrested by the cops and thrown in a cell with a voyuer, a panty thief, a masochist, and other strange men, all of whom claim you are their king and hero). I’d consider that possibly the funniest punishment anyone’s EVER come up with in anime.

    That and the kid who keeps telling his mum he’s just seen an elephant cracks me up every time.

    They should make more shows that are as wrong as this (Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei is one that springs to mind - love that show).

    I dislike SHAFT and I could never say Zetsubou Sensei made me laugh as much as Inukami did. And yes his “hentai” buddies cracked me up - I love the Nanoha & Haruhi cosplayers :lol:

    @Akon That “nice boat” is because instead of broadcasting the last episode of School Days they showed a documentary showing nature, rivers, castles, landscapes and it was included a nice boat on it. I mean, nice looking real boat. All of this because a 16-years-old-bitch axed her police-official-father until dead in Japan. So, Hinano is using “nice boat” to refer to that occurrence… I guess.

    Shaft makes one kind of jokes along with great animation quality.

    Inukami goes in another direction and I can´t compare them. I´d love to watch the movie though, but I´ll wait for subs since I can´t even get sound of the movie as it is now :(

    But from what I have heard I´ll love the movie. Just because it seems to have everything that I loved from the series.
