Final thoughts on Umisho
Well since I was told that 
this show was only gonna be 13 episodes I figured I’d do some sort of conclusion post since I did watch most of the series. (Btw we didn’t need to see that dude’s crotch in the camera xDDDD) The one thing that I kept thinking the WHOLE TIME is that Amuro was actually a mermaid. Kinda like in Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch that she’s like a human but if she’s splashed with water she turns into a mermaid etc. (They coulda changed the conditions here for all I know.) Then it turns out…she’s just a water maniac from Okinawa…who happens to SWIM like a mermaid. Wow o_O; Urhm that really threw me off. Also the relationship between Amuro & Kaname was concluded in a sloppy fashion.
I didn’t mind them leaving it in an open ended humorous level, but then after the credits they had random shots of Amuro getting jealous of Shizuoka & Kaname…then in the final screeny kissing him. I’m a big fan of this…when it’s done in a flow like fashion…not when we feel like it’s all open ended then suddenly in like 5 minutes Amuro changes her mind and decides “I WANT KANAME YOWZA!” So yea that sorta ruined the show for me. :S According to JP the manga isn’t as funny - similarly to how the Ouran manga isn’t as funny as the anime either.

Also what the hell is this season? the TERRIBLE ENDINGS season or what … god I hope my Kenichi, Lagann and Seto end up OK because pretty much everything else seem to make horrible endings.
Masa’s crotch in the camera was hilarious. I actually thought the ending was great! It really fit into the feel of the series, and finally resolved the Amuro and Kaname tension that’s been building up since episode 1. It wasn’t really thrown at us, especially after the things that happened in this episode. Besides, what’s new? I’m sure you’ve seen enough love comedy endings to know what kind of crap to expect at this point. xD

Looking at the still images at the very end of this episode, it feels like there will be a second season of Umisho, but I might be wrong.
Umisho is ongoing, I think that I mentioned this before but there is not much of romance … its most gag comedy, I leave the funny/not funny for individual tastes (I laugh more with this manga that with School Rumble manga)
Amuro being a mermaid is the impression I get but the manga never pushes that issue, Amuro x Kaname also does not happened of yet even if there is the impression they end up together.
