XDDDDD I Love this drama!! It had a great ending and I’m anxiously awaiting the release of the soundtrack, mark your calendars it’s on 9/25!! So the episode starts out with all the guys who proposed to Megumi going to Marie and asking her to be their “ally” to help get Megumi to agree to marry them. In Iguchi’s case, it’s Ka-kun and Ooyama (who are both on the farm milking cows these days) who ask Marie about it. Marie confides in Megumi, who has no idea Iguchi confessed to her because at the time she was “sleeping with her eyes open”. Also the big mouth lady finds out and they start making bets on who Megumi will choose lol.

The exam day approaches and Megumi has to study on her own because Iguchi refuses to tutor her after she basically rejected him (without herself knowing she did so lol.) During the exam, when it’s Marie’s turn as usual her button flies open and reveals her boobs to the french guy lol. XD Needless to say he’s very “impressed” by her and tres bien’s 10 times until Marie realizes what went wrong, appologizes and runs back to her seat ^^;. Next up is Megumi but when the french guy looks at her chest, he immediately creates a situation where his bag is broken, and he’s an upset customer then he concludes by saying “I can’t talk to you, it’s like I’m talking to a wall.” Naturally this pisses Megumi off and she yells at him with a “how dare you judge me by my boobs” speech XD

Megumi thinks she has failed the exam but later on she finds out that she actually passed. At this point is when Megumi realizes that Iguchi asked her to marry him and so Marie urges Megumi to run back to Aomori and talk to him. She even offers to switch her vacation day with Megumi’s. Megumi takes the offer and takes a train back and appologizes to Iguchi. She asks him to propose to her again, and when he does she accepts. Unfortunately before he can even kiss her, her parents and Ooyama pop outta nowhere yelling BANZAI!! and congratulating them.

Everyone around Megumi starts to tell her she can’t really balance a trip to France for a year and have a successful marriage. Eventually she agrees and decides for Iguchi’s sake, she is going to not go to France and instead give the opportunity to Marie who didn’t pass the exam. As luck may have it, Iguchi just got a new assignment in DUBAI doing walls for a year….after Megumi has already canceled her 1 year trip. Things get even worse when she finds out that the France trip she canceled on..has been changed to one in DUBAI instead!! On top of that Tamura bucho is thrilled that she is staying to help him with the store and drops the bomb that his wife finally got pregnant. Poor Megumi.

So Megumi ends up staying at the store and working there. Masayuki tells her that he hasn’t given up on her and that in a year things can change. Iguchi in the meantime is doing his walls in Dubai..but one day on the train to work Megumi feels boobs against her back. She turns around and it’s none other than Marie. Megumi asks her why she came back and Marie explains that she cannot stand hot places and Dubai was really hot for her. (Remember the ice boob episode? XD) Marie squeals that she and Megumi will be working together again and glomps her on the crowded train.

Final Thoughts: So althoguh she agreed to marry Iguchi, I don’t really feel Megumi ended up with anybody. I think it was a good way to end “yama onna kabe onna” by having the 2 women together rather than this spinning off into a romantic mush thing. That was part of the drama but the focus was the relationship between Megumi & Marie ~ which I think led to such a conclusion. ALthough I love the mushy romantic conclusions, I’ll honestly admit I was pretty happy with this one. I guess mainly because I didn’t really like how all of a sudden Iguchi just said “marry me” out of nowhere…when he acted like he didn’t like her at all before. In my opinion I liked Masayuki a lot more for her. I mean he hit on her since like episode 1!! XD Man I love Itou Misaki dramas. Some other dramas she was in that I’ve enjoyed are Kikenna Aneki, Lunch Queen, Sapuri and Densha Otoko.
