Manga Review: Kamichama Karin Chu Vol. 5

SURPRISE! Ok I was pretty surprised too I had no idea this was out already until my eyes landed on the special edition version! In case you’re wondering my current banner is actually what the cover of the SE looks like. Sexy nurse Karin and sexy patient Kazune. Also the picture of Kazune in the inside illustration shown here is very sexxxyy. I can’t say the same for the volume itself though. All of this sexiness was more appropriate for volume 4 in my opinion. So most of the manga was story action which began with Mion creating yet another stupid play, this time though it seemed like a twisted version of the 3 musketeers. Since the 1st season play was a success she decided to cast Micchi, Karin & Kazune again - which caused some tension because Kazune didn’t really wanna talk to Micchi anymore.

I think Kogesensei is on some sort of 70s manga obsession cause she kept drawing these kinds of scenes throughout the book as well as the little special booklet. The glasses person btw is Kirio with a wig. I don’t get his personality change. He comes back all like I LOVED THE PLAY SO I CAME TO HELP DIRECT IT. Wut?

Karin in the meantime is hoping that by working on the play together, she can maybe try to convince Micchi to come back on their side.

During the play, Rika ends up disrupting it by casting another seed thing of hers…and then discussion breaks about the ring of Zeus. Micchi gets some more Kujou professor flashbacks and suddenly changes his mind saying he will help Kazune & Karin. Him and Karin then do the love evolution transformation and Karin gets a new outfit. I feel like I’m watching Pretear or something ?_? (Minus the nude bishies.) Oh yea Jin showed up to take Yuki’s part because him & Mion went MIA.

So later Jin invites them all to see his concert. There they have some fun at the beach until Kirio shows up and casts a weird spell for jellyfish to attack Karin. This whole chapter reminded me of how stupid and fillaricious the anime is so I didn’t pay much attention. The only thing I think this chapter was for is to show that hey Suzune can transform too - into Cupid. LOL. They also get to talk to Karin from the future through Suzune’s clock thing. She tells them to stay together no matter what.

Things of course don’t get any better when Rika grabs some guy (I think it was Yuki - or someone close to Yuki but I dunno ?_?) and uses him to help revive her father…from Jin’s body. So yea before anybody can do anything (and Kazune’s dad’s data gets stolen), Karasuma Kirihiko is officially revived.

I dunno I guess I’m glad stuff is happening but I gotta admit, I’m only it it for the mushy romance scenes. Hopefully more of those in volume 6.

The special edition comes with a booklet that features 2 short stories. One is about them trying to rid Kazune of his bug fear and the 2nd one having all the guy shop for Karin’s birthday present.

   I’ve been wasting away on Ragnarok ONline II the last 4 months so my art skills have gone down the toilet. In an ongoing process to revive them though I’ve started doing some short doodles…of my RO2 character.

   LOL wait what event??? I did notice the se for vol 4 also had karin & kazune too but I got that one too late to get the SE.

   Also in this volume Jin kissed Kazune so Kazune wouldn’t kiss Karin during the play….I think you may have something there

    A friend told that in chapter 21 of Kamicha Chu, Suzuka and Karin are mixed and she(Suzuka) told to Kazune and Michi that Kirihito Karasuma was in love with her and he came to hate his friend, Kazuto, because he stole Suzuka’s affections…

    I can’t wait till it comes out in the us…. Unfortuneatly, here in alaska, we dont have a huge selection in manga… LUCKILY, I take frequent trips to washington alot beacause That’s where my unkle lives… I switch living every once in a while from my aunt to my unkle….. el gasp! kinda hard to follow for me I havent read the first 3….. eh heh….
