Friday Catchup: YamaKabe 11, Mushiuta 9, HiguKai 11
SO because this weekend JRO2 is having a double exp event I am abandoning you all and picking game over blogging. (Well not completely but here’s a super short summary post of 3 shows in 1! JP Is also eagerly awating for OB to end so I can pay attention to him.) Anyway no blogging of Naruto this week because it was draggy and stupid (but at least the stupid Gai team arc finally progressed), but there won’t be any Naruto next week and the following week will be a 1 hour special. Moving on:
Mushiuta 09 - Shiika goes on another date with Daisuke where they blush profusely at a planetarium (where have I seen this before?) and then outside start a discussion of their dreams. By this point both Shiika & Daisuke start to wonder “hay I wonder if she/he is the person from the past that shot me/got shot and now is alive!” Unfortunately for Rina, she runs on the two of them about to have a makeout session and runs off crying - then falling down the steps. Wow dramatic. Also that girl who is a spy for I don’t even know who anymore, is apparently doing it with the the leader of Daisuke’s group. Whoaaa too much happening in one week! But at least stuff is moving along now.
Yama Onna Kabe Onna 11 - Ooyama gets married but her husband’s (Kaa-kun!)’s relative’s are traditional and her “western style” wedding turns into a drunk sake fest. She’s upset and leaves the room but when Megumi tells her it’s not too late to stop the marriage, she tells her the truth about how the job only wanted her for her boobs, and that being with him is a much better decision…enough that she’ll put up with his annoying folks. In the meantime Megumi & Marie are studying for a French/English exam required to get a position to work in a bag store in France. Marie is being taught by Matsubara, while Megumi got lucky being taught by Iguchi who happened to learn both languages while doing wall work. She ends up getting proposed to by that nerdy glasses guy, by the now chief guy, she gets a “I want you by my side” from Tamura who comes back from HK apparently with wife troubles, and finally by Iguchi…which was pretty random if you ask me. Now…who will she pick? (If you haven’t guessed already)
Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai 11 - Well if you didn’t think Takano was the one whodunnit you oughta jump on the bangwagon right about now. She clearly admitted that she’s in charge of the Yama Inu and clearly we heard how the body they put as “takano” was one of the yamainu guys who was dead (I think). I’m glad Satoko stood up to that son of a bitch although I’d like him to be put on deathrow. To be honest the arcs where he got killed felt a lot more just to me. At least they should cut off his wang or something. Well I don’t know what happens next week but I’m just damn looking forward to the Matsuribayashi hen whenever the hell that starts airing. At this point watching Higurashi is like “WHEN ARE THEY GONNA BEAT 1983!”
P.S. Whoever the hell this Hoi Hoi san is it only does 2 things for me: 1) reminds me of Trouble Chocolate and Hinano’s “Hoi Hoi Happy!” 2) I wish I had a hoihoi san to clean up the bugs in my apartment!

About when Matsuribayashi-hen is gonna start, we still have to see the final 2 episodes of Minagoroshi-hen and then we’ll see the very meaty part of this anime that is THE final story arc.
I’m going to try responding one more time and if this one disappears, that’s it for me.
I nearly choked on my coffee when I heard Marie speak English. And the Chairman’s restaurant scene was pretty fun (from what I understood of it)
yea he was like “sorry my dad asked you to marry me, i woulda rather asked you myself” XD
sabrina> I checked spambox and I just didnt see it :S I dunno what the deal with akismet is =_=;
Rika has Hanyuu guiding her (and no one can see Hanyuu). I think Takano has an invisible, Hitler ghost-guide. For serious. Takano does look like a Nazi in that screencap. Ha, ha. Especially with the *cough**cough*gas chambersuhfsdhsf*cough*
just tell me who Megumi pick LOL
its killing me not knowing for sure
please oh please u left it at a chiffhanger ahhhhh
im going out of my mind LOL
thanks for blogging such a fun series
cause if it werent for u i wouldnt know know about this show
thankyou ^^
I’ve posted 3 that have just vanished. I was confused and distraught.
Now I’m drowsy so we’ll see how this works. (It’s 5 am here and I was dancing all night).
I just started watching Mushiuta so I can’t really add much to that, but I love your blogs layout and color scheme. Tres magnifique.
Lydia> LOL quoted for truth.
okies> I think she’s gonna pick Iguchi
Sabrina> Thanks
been meaning to customize it ever since the blog came back!
“okies> I think she’s gonna pick Iguchi”. It seems it’s the case; the preview leaves few doubts here. Anyway, i would prefer the chief guy : more funny honestly (I am a fan of Mi-chi!)
only nice part in the mus uta eps was when the ladybird started flashing. Guess that was intent to kill.
Actually, I’m thinking she might pick Masayuki in the end, despite how Iguchi is played up in the promo. (Though picking Iguchi wouldn’t surprise me either after this much buildup.) Like how that scene with the roses a few episodes back turned out to be Iguchi’s revenge for throwing the plaster on him rather than a really romantic gesture.
Course, I’m a fan of Mitsuhiro anyhow, but there seems to be a fair amount foreshadowing that relationship to me throughout the series too. By developing her interest in Iguchi first, it seems to be setting him up as the rival to make Masasyuki jealous from a story structure perspective as shown in episode 11. Plus, Megumi seems to be looking at Masayuki differently in the last couple of episodes without realizing it.
Either way, I’m glad that at least the rivals for her affections have actual personalities. I’m so tired of those flatly “perfect” rivals that are about as much competition as a toaster.
Hmm I might start watching this Yama Onna Kabe Onna after reading several reviews of th episodes by you. Seems pretty interesting.
It’s a great drama, definitely check it out, very funny
Despite the forgettability of Naruto this week, I just now noticed the way-late addition of Tenten in that douijin-like ED they started using again. She’s doing the anger crouch, complete with scowl and annoyance lines, on the hill — she was left out of it previously.
That was the only remarkable thing about this episode, but I thought it was funny. An acknowledgment of the oops, maybe.
Sayonara, welcome Yamainu…
I pretty much knew Takano was prime suspect since all the tidbits of evidencve showing up in season 1 - nicely mentioned here - the body charade (24 hours old while Takano walked Watanagashi), the scene when she gives a lift to K1 and refuses him to take bike to car luggage box - poor Tomitake was there!
I am spoiled myself but can’t help to root for Rika and her friends to do their best…
Have anyone noticed that episode 12 of Higurashi didn’t air today according to the anime’s official website that KBS Kyoto and Tokai TV decided not to air episode 12 due to Thursday’s incident, but I’ve read that Tokai TV will air the episode on Sept. 27 at 27:27 to 28:07 local time (whatever the time it is because I don’t understand their system of time system, I only understand the time system we use normally and general military time system).
