I had intended to do
a full summary but yea you can thank Bluehost, Dreamhost and Timewarner for all this stupidity. I did want to write my thoughts on the episode as I thoroughly enjoyed it. So it looks like the writers dicided to show Sano as being a cold jerk again just so Nakatsu could shine as the bishie nice guy…who as usual Mizuki is gona reject to be with the cold jerk. Sigh. It’s sorta disappointing to see them make Nakatsu out to be such a great guy and then still have Mizuki chasing after Sano like a drooling dog. It seems things are falling into the cliche of the son who thinks his dad is bad but it’s all one huge misunderstanding - because Sano’s dad WAS there when their mother was dying. Sano’s just a retard who doesn’t wanna hear the truth. Blah I think I’ve seen this trend in like 20 other series.
Upcoming Attractions: Looks like nothing changes between Mizuki & Nakatsu, however word seems to spread that there’s a “girl” at the boys school.

u know.. i get disappointed with hana kimi… it might be because i was expecting too much from this drama.. it sure is entertaining.. i need to feel the emotion to lurk for certain couple..but i can not feel the connection between mizuki and sano that much.. nakatsu ftw!!
I do want Mizuki to end up with Nakatsu. Yeah, i also do wonder why do they always go for a loner, it’d be nice if she ends up with Nakatsu but I dont wanna get my hopes high. And I do love this series because of the fact that it never fails to make me luff. hehehe.
I love the series too but to be honest any Mizuki x Sano moments make me go YUCK! lol
Well like I don’t the Japanese series is correctly explaining why Sano is a cold jerk sometimes. Like, Sano isn’t sure how he should treat Mizuki because if he reveals that he knows she’s a girl, then she’ll have to go home and he doesn’t want to lose her, but if he does anything sketchy to her then she might misinterpret and think he’s gay or something XP

Well, as I was doing some sort of research about a topic on Japanology and Japanese culture, I came to something that might explain why all the shoujo heroines go for the cold guy. It is a cultural nuance the Japanese they themselves call “amae”. I dont know the kanji so it is going to be hard to cross reference this. In very simple terms it means emotional restraint. And display of it is such a turn on for the girls, well the books that I have read mention something similar. So, its nice and dandy to be honest with your feelings but its a big plus supposedly if you can put on an air of stoicism.
Ah figures….Japan and their fake air mannerisms :S

I guess this is why in anime I always like the honest with his feelings guy more than the enclosed cold jerk

Anyway, I take Sano is a much nicer guy in the manga … in fact I stop reading because it was so clear they loved each other and nobody else could cut in that it stop giving much interest to me to keep reading it.
i love Nakatsu his so cute but i know he will never end up with her which annoys me cause he does so much for her that she doesnt even notice

its just strange how they made Sano such a jerk in the drama and STILL want Mizuki to end up with him. From what everyone is telling me, the manga personalities are completely different which is why all of us here want her to end up with Nakatsu.
I sorta wanted Nakatsu to get Ashiya in the books too, but Sano’s the guy, and a nice guy at that, there. Poiyamory wouldn’t fit well into the storyline, I suppose. ^^
Either Oguri Shun has a terrible director or he’s really, REALLY phoning in his performance. Nakatsu’s only cringeworthy moments are when he’s acting out his inner thoughts. When did *mime* become an effective dramatic device? Ye gods.
I swear sometimes I’m watching some high school improv club. I can’t watch the scenes with all those other boys — I fully expect them to start twisting noses and poking eyes and screaming “nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.”
I haven’t seen ep10 yet, this is just generalized grousing. Man, I’m cranky today. ^^ Sorry everybody.
Agggh, poor Nakatsu. It looked so cute when they were dancing though. I feel bad for him, seeing that Mizuki is obviously going to run off to Sano. I’ll get my kleenex ready.

Toma makes Nakatsu even more lovable than he ever was before.
I love when Nakatsu does his ‘inner thoughts mime’~ its so funny and cute. Its not like he does this with all his characters, right?
Its quite manga-ish, because manga characters tend to have an ‘inner self’ flailing at opportune moments.

It’s soo strange for me to like nakatsu in the drama BUT not in the manga, because sano is a nice guy there, not some cold jerk with uninteresting personality. I’d blame the scriptwriter and shun oguri for making sano like this. >:(
