Dear Sugisaki-sensei….FINISH THE GOD DAMN MANGA PLEASE!
I got some serious
beef with a mangaka named Sugisaki Yukiru. In case you do not know, she is very famous for her manga D.N.Angel and Candidate for Goddess (Megami Kouhousei). What you probably also didn’t know is she ALSO drew the manga for Rizelmine…and if you don’t know about Rizelmine and are a Kugimiya Rie fan, you should go bang your head against the wall. Anyways, I got into this manga …I dunno 6 years ago?? Guys…in 10 years there have been 11 volumes. It’s one thing if the manga was still going…but it’s not. She just…quit. She quit and started a manga about a bunch of shotas, and now she’s just doing illustrations for that yaoi magazine Asuka Comics. Wryyy? I seriously want to know what happens in D.N.Angel. For the last 2 years when I went to buy manga, I’d go through my shelf and see what I still needed and D.N.Angel’s been on my list since 2005. Since 2005 she has not released ANYTHING. For the love of pretty boys Sugisaki-sensei PLEASE FINISH D.N.Angel!!
Sometimes I have thoughts of doing a doujinshi of my own to “Finish” the story but she left so many loose ends it seems like too much of a mess…and hell it’s been so long since I read it that I’d probably have to go back and re-read the whole thing again. =_=;
If this happened with Naruto, Kishimoto-sensei would have to hire a body guard from all the enraged fanboys & fangirls.

Not to mention bodyguards to protect against his enraged editor at Shuueisha who is angry at the brazillian dollars a year that they are losing.
I’ve bought all the english version of DN Angel as well (i think 11), and i’ve been checking the bookstore for the next one everytime i head there.
The anime deviates a bit from the manga, but it ended well enough (though i watched and finished the anime first before reading the manga so that might have influenced my opinion), so you might want to watch that to get your fix.
I feel you pain. I’ve read so many series that just end with no satisfaction. Especially when you’re caught up in the story or it’s characters.
I’m still in awe of how many Naruto fans are a little wacko. I love the show too, but so many fights happen especially when someone makes a wild explanation. He would need a team of bodyguards and his own ANBU squad.
That’s a nice illo of a Dal. It reminds me of my old Dal when she was a pup.
I find it SO hard to associate DN Angel and Rizelmine, particularly after all the very good chianti I had with dinner this evening… LOL
Somehow, though, it seems very appropriate that DN Angel should be unfinished - it puts it in good company with Candidate for Goddess. I always wondered what NHK thought they were getting into when they broadcast the CforG anime and then had it end so “abruptly”.
Of course after the success of CCS, NHK was struggling for years to come up with something - anything - that would be as successful. (It was always so sad how hard NHK tried to push “Daa Daa Daa” as the next-big-thing, when it was a totally different sort of shoujo series, and quite enjoyable in itself without all the hype.)
soriel> I actually watched the anime and I wasn’t too happy with the deviations especially that random blonde anime original character I found to be annoying. The dark/crad fight was pretty cool though but it doesn’t solve the whole Risa/Riku/Dark/Daisuke love triangle which is one of my favorite aspects of the manga.
Sabrina> I wish it would end period. Satisfaction or not! XD
Dave> I guess its easier to associate the two when you compare the art style. Can’t really compare the 2 animes tho xD As far as DADADA….never got into it myself while I was a huge CCS fan.
It reminds me of Yami No Matsuei, the mangaka is in hiatus since 2003 -___-
lol that was a funny rant. I didnt know that the manga deviated from the anime and was still ongoing. I only saw the anime and thought the ending was really good.
Rizelmine manga was the standard “milking, milking” … she was contracted for doing it.
(BTW when I recall Rizelmine is the “dog ending” that comes to mind first)
It seems she is back at Lagoon Engine.
And yes, it annoying when projects are unfinished … heck even Peach-Pit ended “Rozen Maiden” instead of just leaving it on hold.
Sugisaku just loves killing her once-fans.
And if Kishimoto or that BLEACH mangaka does that, heh.
They’ll die for certain.
That sucks! Why wont she finish it???
Also, if that ever happened in Naruto….o_O I’d be like “WTF?”
She apparently is notorious for never finishing her mangas
The only manga I know Sugisaki finished is Rizelmine, which is only 1 or 2 volumes.
Go figure. -_-;
I don’t care if this person is notorious for never finishing, she should aim to FINISH something. >.
So this is what she’s doing now? Ignoring my krad induced needs?
>.> *pokes Hinano* You were saying something about a doujinshi?*hasn’t had any krad in 2 years*
[...] a little late on this but whatever. My prayers were answered (or the mangaka read my blog ) because the D.N.Angel manga is back to being [...]
