Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai - 08

So looks like Satoko fell into the circle of abuse this time around before Rika could get to her. She asked Takano to “move” the yamainu, but Takano said she couldn’t because Satoko’s uncle was being watched by the police already because Rina got murdered for being a bad whore :P. Satoko then gave up and went back to getting drunk on her wine or whatever that thing she always drinks is. Also Shion went batshit and almost killed Satoko’s uncle but Keiichi the superman stopped her…although I’m surprised he didn’t get a concussion after being slammed on the head with a chair @_@;; Maybe this time around he has a metal plate in his head or something. It was cool to see Rika crying near the end begging Keiichi to save Satoko, and that she didn’t wanna give up after all. Keiichi gaves her 2 big thumbs up and said he has a plan…well whatever your plan is, I still want Satoko’s uncle to die. XD

    Keiichi needs to chase Satoko’s uncle with the basebat again. I love that scene, and it is all because of that Higurashi “spoof” theme song. That scene makes me laugh now. XD

    The situation will be solved internally yet the outcome will be the same. Nonetheless, it’s still pretty much insignificant once it hits Watagashi.

    Despite Rika’s true age, she still very much exhibits certain immature qualities like indecisive-ness and giving up too easily upon hitting obstacles in her path. That’s why the rest of her friends are needed to cheer her on to overcome her fate.

    Although she’s moe, I admit Hanyuu is quite useless in the sense in this current arc as she only acts as an observer and discourages Rika frequently, perhaps that’s why Rika is constantly succumbing to her fate. Of course, the final arc will resolve this issue.

    As for now, I’m more than satisfied as to how HiguKai is handled, esp with the animation quality.

    P.S.: Either K1 has a skull of metal or he’s reverting back to Kira Yamato.

    And, um, I know who the “yamainu” are, but what are they exactly? I don’t get it. Do they protect Rika or something? So confused.

    Okay, some major spoilers here. Read further on your own discreetion.

    “Yamainu” are basically elite commando personnels under Takano to aid her in the protection of her research of the virus that originates from Hinanmizawa.

    As from the anime-original previous arc, those same capped people are responsible for Rika’s death, which…well, you pretty much know can guess what will occur later since they’ve been entrusted in ‘protecting’ Rika now.
