Wow. Just wow. Kotonoha goes into psycho bitch mode. 
The best part of all of this though, is she’s making it seem like all of Sekai’s fault and Makoto is an innocent angel, thus adding to my additional hatred of her. And Makoto..wow he just proved the ultimate stupid man move: LIVE ACTION CHEATING. Why cheat on a girl in secret when you can do it while they are separated by a mere apartment door! And even though someone (Setsuna) is trying to save your stupid ass and put you on the right path, you steer to the side like some broken wheel barrel. I can’t decide if this is gonna now follow the Kotonoha suicide path or the Kotonoha saw path XD I mean she was sitting there undoing the whole sweater, then walking around with her boobs showing through her shirt, followed by the loud Sekai-Slap ™. Oh and Makoto…the moment he sees some huge tits he suddenly turns into that direction and follows like some dog in heat. Fag. I hope someone pushes him into the bonfire during the folk dance.

I would like for it to end with the jagged teeth of a saw stained with the blood of Itou and that faithless traitor. Though if Katsura feels like going splat after killing Itou, I would not mind at all.
Kotonoha bad ending is likely the worst ending, I always find it amusing when people think killing is the worst thing that can be done.
Anyway … the good thing about this show is “Teh Drama!”, considering there are still 5 episodes what will happen next?
Also what is amazing is this is a eroge adaptation that does not suck, I recall Hinano not overall keen in watching this (no wonder, eroge adaptations usually are pretty awful) but so far this been a good show (for “Teh Drama!”).

I wonder if this series will have, like, arc restarts. I guess that would make it to similar to Higurashi, though. Oh, I can hope.

-_- They’re all flawed. Makoto is a douchebag, no questions. Sekai was manipulative and lacks willpower. She could do better. Kotonoha lacked a spine - yet I side with her only because I wish to see bloody doomage. :3

I thought Setsuna was cool. Now she’s just plain annoying! Does she have a Sekai complex or something? It’s no this and no that. Makoto is also a brain dead idiot for listening to what she says!
Sekai helps them get together and breaks them up too? Stupidity! But that’s what makes the show good - the drama. It seems like a Kotonha suicide ending to me. She’s getting bullied a whole lot.

Why do you guys hate Makoto so much? It’s obvious that he was just a horny typical teenager used unwittingly by the evil Seikai who is the main real culprit here.
Initially, all Makoto wanted to do was to peek at Kotonoha at the train like a little harmless pervert. But oh no, Seikai had to butt in quite uninvitedly and set them up. And right after she had set his heart toward Kotonoha, she went ahead to kiss Makoto like a molester pretending to get a thank-you kiss from a little boy. Not to mention that it was HER idea about their “training” sessions. She encouraged him to go further!
I mean, come on, people. Can’t you see that Seikai is the evil-scheming bee-otch here?
Oh I hate Sekai as well but since Makoto jumped on her because she’s willing to give him ass…and STILL wants to chase after Kotonoha because of some exposed boob…that piles onto the hatred for him as well. Kotonoha was an ok character except the fact that she puts Makoto on some pedestal and gets angry at Sekai…that adds on to my hatred for her as well.
So basically I hope they all die in a fire.

I think your post might have actually been enough to make me like this episode. What if you add a “Sekai-Slap ™” with a “into the bonfire during the folk dance”?
For the last episode, why don’t they all have a murder-suicide ending (I prefer that Sekai kills Makoto, Kotonoha kills Sekai, and Kotonoha kills herself, >)…THEN everyone’s happy!(which I believe everyone in this blog would agree to this ending, do you think?). XD
That would be an awesome although a completely different, ending!
Haha… You would think so. But I can imagine the writers pull a Mai-Hime ending where everybody comes back to life and forgives everybody and live happily ever after.
It could happen: Sekai stabs Makoto but missed all his vital organs, Kotonoha saws Sekai’s neck but managed to miss all major arteries, and Kotonoha jumps to her death but her body is not seem hitting the ground and comes back alive in major Sunrise-style. Then all the characters kiss and make up. Makoto has sex with every girl in the show and everybody lives happily ever after.
This way you get the Harem ending as well.
This has actually turned out to be a really good anime despite what many people have previously thought about it eh?
Your posts like this make me totally want to give this series another chance… Is there seriously any chance for a bad ending? My cynical side says “no, it’s going to be an ambigious harem ending just so they can have a sequel.”
I have to agree with Kabitzin’s cynicism here. I think they’ll go for a sequel instead of the so called “bad” endings.
Although I would personally like to drive nails through Makotos head repeatedly for being such a complete ass, I mainly blame the creators for not thinking outside the box. It seems to be the case that most anime involving a relationship ALWAYS has the male lead character as some teenage bag of hormones who’s randier than a dog in season (Amaenaideyo is a PRIME example of this). I think the most well rounded lead character I’ve seen in any relationship based anime was Hanabishi Kaoru from Ai Yori Aoshi, and this was mainly because he was in love with one person and was doing everything he could so they could be together. Even though there’s the whole harem scenario in that anime, he doesn’t get tempted (except once if I remember correctly).
If anyone has anyone has any other animes where the male lead doesn’t having a habit of sucking ass then please let me know.
Until then I’ll watch this out of morbid fascination (It kind of reminds of watching a car crash), and in the vain hope that the creators while pile all the characters onto a rocket and fire them all into the sun (HOORAY FOR FLAMING DEATH!!!!)
Archaeon> How about Keitaro Urashima (Love Hina)? I know he was a male lead who sucked ass because of ecchi incidents with the other girls at the inn (harem) which happened unintentionally (few or some of the times intentional), but he was focused on that dream girl who was in love with, Naru Narusegawa.
There is a reason why Love Hina is a classic but you SHOULD have read the manga because there are points were you simply “face palm” over Keitaro actions.
However people keep in mind Keitaro was 20, Makoto is 15-16 … Kaoru (Ai Yori Aoshi) was also around 20’s.

You’re right about Keitaro from Love Hina focusing on one person BTW, but he still sucked as a character because he simply had NO SPINE WHATSOEVER!!! I mean really!! And besides, he wasn’t sure for a long time that he did want Naru as he was focused on the girl from his memories (talk about indecisive). Besides that, Naru was a complete and utter bitch from hell. Any sane person would have told her to shut the hell up and get a life a long time ago (methinks keitaro was a bit of a masochist at heart)
Compare the characters of Makoto, Keitarou, and Ikkou (from Amaenaideyo), to that of Kaoru, or even Keichi (from Ah! Megami Sama), and there’s a distinct difference, and it’s not simply due to age. The first three characters are selfish in the extreme, whereas Kaoru tries to make sure that Aoi doesn’t lose her family because of him, while Keichi will fight against ANYTHING for Belldandy (although I do have to admit that Keichi could do with more backbone when it comes to matters of the heart).
i think tha happest way this can end is the Kontonah and Sekai admiting they both love makoto and are both preggie for him and both happy but who wants that ending….BRING ON TEH BLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!

The ending must feature three things: a saw, blood and a cold Itou. Because Kotonoha has impressive skills using the katana (Summer days) she could use it instead.
Man, I gotta say … I was cheering for SAW SAW SAW when Kotonoha was approaching Sekai at the end of the episode.

Archaeon, Keitaro decided for Naru after he failed the entry exam and that happened during the start of the series and before that he was concentrated into entering university.
As for the girl of his memories … that is solved with the trip(s) to Okinawa and that happens to be Naru’s issue and not Keitaro.
Keitaro is worst in the anime because of changes that cheapen his character, similar Naru is also cheapen because of cuts.
As for the rest, Ikkou … well Amaenaideyo is a fanservice series so what the hell were you expecting? and Keichi … in a moment of sheer maddess I decided to read the manga and god after 20 YEARS of serialization their relation have not changed at all, AMG! is a fillers after fillers with some sparks of a plot here and there.
I think that Makoto is the worst!! He is the “devil” in this story, i feel sorry for Sekai.. and a bit for Kotonoha(But still hate her), first of all if Makoto now wants to date Sekai, he should break up with Kotonoha first and then… well ¬¬ everybody knows? And… Kotonoha is stupid or what… come on? Shure… “Makoto didnt do anything” “Makoto is a pure angel” “I must kill Sekai”… But…ô.ô this clompex love relationship is interesting…
Darkron> You’re absolutely right about AMG being nothing but fillers. As I said, Keichi’s character could have done with more backbone when it came to matters of the heart. You’re also right about the manga for Love Hina being better than the anime as it explains a LOT more about the story.
And again you’re right about Amaenaideyo being a fanservice show. The only problem is that fanservice is probably the most obvious trend in anime at this point in time. Like any medium, the creative teams have started churning out carbon copies of of previous animes. The base premise for these anime titles is probably along the lines of:
1. middle/high school or college loser with few friend, little money, poor life prospects, and a serious lack of girlfriend (hence the ecchi collection and the callouses). But he also happens to be a “nice” guy (if that was the case then he’d have more self control).
2. Attractive girl/woman with strong sense of right and wrong, minor emotional issues, and breasts, who is attracted to the loser for reasons that are incomprehensible.
3. Numerous other attractive girls/women who are related to said girl, or are friends/enemies (or both), and who suddenly have an overwhelming desire to be with the loser because he is such a “nice” guy - Ready, FIGHT!!!!
4. High school, fantasy world, temple, sci-fi, etc, setting with quasi-religious, historical, or just plain silly overtones.
5. Slapstick comedy to hide the fact that the creators are only interested in breast size and the number of panty shots per episode.
6. Ludicrous attempt at a serious back story to hide the fact that the main story is nothing more than filler (and oh how we HATE filler!!!).
There’s probably more to add but I’m just taking a quick break from writing right now. Feel free to add to the list if you like, but put all those points together and you’ve got the basis for almost every harem based anime from the last decade or so (with a few notable exceptions of course).
Well there is a difference of having fanservice and being fanservice.
Amaenaideyo (BTW … I did not liked it) is pure fanservice, you cannot take it serious or it fails, its like taking Gravion (you know, the Gonzo mecha show?) serious since its not meant to be serious.
Fanservice you can find in a lot of series, NGE had some for example but its not the driven force of the show, as pure fanservice shows purpose is showing panty shoots and the like with everything being a reason for showing fanservice.
If you want to say … Amaenaideyo is not good, I would agree but you cannot make all of then the same as Amaenaideyo, I liked Girls Bravo for example and that was a pure fanservice series.
As for the “base premise” … true, it became so common (of course some things cannot really be changed, the school life for example is done because of demographics and its a good setup) that is why things are branching out, take Ai Kora that features as a male lead a parts fetishist.
In fact the base premise is ripe for parody, I think some of pure fanservice shows simply use the base premise because its became so standart that using it BECAME part of parody of the gender.
I hope makato and sekai die in accident.How can they do that to Kotonoha?! She’s a nice girl who takes things slow. She wants to know can she really love him. And the time she realize she can love him and trust him,it dies and becomes emotional issue on what makato and sekai were doing on the roof top.BAKA OKAMA MAKATO!!!!!! DIE DIE DIE!!!! BAKA YARIMAN SEKAI!!!!
