Wow so did the animation skyrocket in this episode or what? I don’t think I’ve seen the animation this good since…episode 1!! SO anyway the moment Micchi sees Kazune with the black dyed hair, he glomps him and makes all the yaoi fangirls scream and whip out their camera phones. I guess the professor had black hair so now that Kazune dyed his hair black he looks just like him. Micchi keeps telling himself that “I know it’s not him but it makes me so uneasy!” In the meantime Karin’s avoiding Kazune cause of the spontaneous hug last week. Continue Reading »

Yay my favorite anime is back!! XDXDXD So I thought the 2nd season was coming in the fall but lo and behold some kind soul posted eps 1 and 2 on Tokyo Toshokan :O. So the biggest change is Dokuro-chan’s hair - which is now blue. In the OAV it was purple, as is it on my figure…but I believe in the manga it was blue and I guess it kinda makes sense since Zakuro’s hair is blue as well. Good thing I didn’t decide to do my Dokuro-chan cosplay yet :P. The way I’ll be blogging this is just a short summary and some screenshots of scenes that made me burst out laughing. So this week episode 1 involved Dokuro’s class going on a trip and drawing some pictures. So for those of us not so fortunate to visit Japan and go to a real festival, the folks over at Mitsuwa set one up for all the locals (and not so locals.) It was very small but it was like almost authentic! I mean I think I spoke more Japanese than English there :D. This is located behind the Mitsuwa supermarket in Edgewater, NJ…you can easily take a shuttle or (as we did) an NJ transit bus from Port Authority in NYC.

So when we got there JP insisted that we eat and the first thing we got was drinks and I was all using my weeabo japanese knowledge asking “ichigo ramune arimasu ka?” and getting a “hai arimasu yo!” and having the guy fish it out of this giant pool of drinks for me. After we paid he even told me “domo!” Next we got in this lengthy line for yakitori but by the time we got to the booth it appears this woman was taking names on a waiting list. We didn’t wanna bother so we were gonna get yakisoba - but that also had an insane line..so naturally we went where there was NO line - Gyuudon! What’s wrong with beefbowls? They’re good!
