Hanazakari no Kimitachi E - 06
So this episode was a lot better than I expected because it wasn’t a repeat of “YOU HAVE TO GO BACK TO AMERICA” like it was with Mizuki’s brother. Anyway Shuichi is trying to figure out if Mizuki “likes” anyone because he thinks that perhaps it may be him. I think he gets this idea is because when he is able to go back to his room, Mizuki asks if he could stay a bit longer. Poor Shuichi of course can’t refuse. Sigh. I seriously wish we’d get some weird drama twist and have her end up with him but I know that won’t happen T_T.
Mizuki has been avoiding Sano lately though because she has all of a sudden realized she likes him. Her parents come down randomly and have dinner with her. Ironically when they jokingly say she should go back to America, and Mizuki almost agrees, her dad says “Don’t you have some unfinished business?” Mizuki’s mom tells her that she knows how Mizuki went to see Sano and convinces her that Mizuki has a crush on him even though at first Mizuki just says “it’s not like that”.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, the “randomness” of the week is the dorm is having a treasure hunt. They have to find pink envelopes with various clues. As usual the 3 dorm leaders & their groups are at war. In the end they all get clues which make no sense but Mizuki finds a hint that tells them “all for one and one for all” meaning they have to work together. They decide to do so eventually and the hint is Hibara, the girl pictured above…so they like mollest her for the last hint. I mean I know it was meant as a joke but…raep anyone? D:
The treasure ends up being some kind of white suits. In the meantime, Sano has attempted to do a high jump and successfully completed it, finally being acknowledged by the rest of the team. When Mizuki finds out she’s a bit angry that he didn’t tell her so that she could go watch. She almost starts to cry but he suddenly gives her a big hug…right when Nakatsu walks around the corner and sees them. Poor guy. This is where Mizuki tells herself she realizes that she likes Sano. Blah. How disappointing. =(
Upcoming Attractions: Rumor spreads about Sano having a girlfriend. WHoaaa loooks like lotsa happening next week.

Was not able to watch the raw, but reading your post, It seems the episodes are quite picking up. I like the chemistry between Nakatsu and Mizuki, and how I also wish that they can end up together. Sano’s personality is thawing now and I hope to see O.Shun giving justice to Sano’s character.
Yea I admit Sano was a bit more interesting this week but he still can’t beat Shuichi

..Mizuki’s parents are on crack..
Who would seriously let their kid crossdress and go to a school of the opposite sex? Boarding school even! That’s why I really liked the way the drama did the part with her brother. It really pulled her back to earth. Like in the beginning Mizuki’s head was totally in the clouds, but her brother really dragged her back down and reminded her that she was basically an outsider.
I’ve always felt sorry for Nakatsu-like characters. The guy who does EVERYTHING for the girl but in the end loses. It’s really sad. I know in the Taiwan version they wrapped it up all nice with the Nakatsu-equivalent falling in love with Julia (one of Mizuki’s friends), but in the manga version that didn’t happen. I wonder what they’re planning on doing for him in this version.

boats lol I managed to salvage your post from the spam que. most of the time i just hit delete without reading it because by the time i get home theres like 5 pages of “FREE DICK ENLARGEMENTS”
I think Shuichi and Mizuki’s chemistry is much better in the show. But yay for Sano, at least he’s getting a bit more interesting. I do feel bad for Shuichi, because reading the manga makes me feel pity. But then again, this series is really throwing me off since it’s not really following the manga, so… anything can happen?

Boat, I don’t think they’ve realized that Mizuki’s going to an all-boy boarding school where they require EVERYONE TO LIVE TOGETHER (*ahem* Mizuki: girl + roomate: guy).

But still… WHAT KIND OF PARENTS LETS THEIR DAUGHTER LIVE ABROAD AND NOT CHECK OUT THEIR BOARDING SCHOOL IN DETAIL?
