So this episode focuses mostly on the Watanagashi festival that we’ve seen a billion times already. I just want to point out how I thought Keiichi was pretty cool in Season 1 but for some reason in this series they’ve turned him into a blundering idiot. I’ve lost all if any likeness I had for him as a character. But anyway the episode pretty much kept me on the edge of my seat with the killer after Rika and Satoko being helpless and the only one doing anything about it. Rika of course knew but acted like she didn’t because she knew that she can’t stop fate so why bother. The episode really brought out Satoko to me as someone other than a useless crying little brat. Go Satoko! Although unfortunately nothing good’s gonna come of your efforts.

Those of you have even heard of the manga called “Good Morning Call” will be happy (?) to know that apparently a sequel’s been released called Good Morning Kiss. I happened to lay my eyes on it browsing the Shoujo manga section at Kinokuniya. I knew something looked familiar and when I read the bottom flap thing it said “Now Uehara and Yoshikawa are in college!!!” Whoa ok this is starting to feel like Saved by the Bell: The College Years. So anyway they’re still living together or in rooms next to each other…or something. (THis part confused me.) Then one day her dad stops by and flips out and demands that she no longer live with him. Nao’s friends suggest that she and Uehara get married so that living together would be “normal”. Oh Japan.

So Nao then tries to give Uehara some ideas about getting married by leaving a wedding magazine next to his computer. He naturally sees it, tosses it aside and proceeds to play video games. Sigh. This is exactly what makes this manga so freaking…retarded. Continue Reading »

I went to Kinokuniya today for my monthly (?) manga pickup. I’ll be doing reviews of all the books I picked up starting with this. So anyway volume 6 last left off where Duke finally turned back to his human form. As usual Anno-sensei made him a bishie…and he also appears to be Cinnamon’s brother. Wait wut? Does that make him Chocola’s uncle?? It wasn’t mentioned but isn’t that the obvious thought? I didn’t see her screaming OJIISANN!?! more than she was going “TELL ME ABOUT MY MOM!!!” I feel like there’s some sort of a hole here. LUL LET ME TOUCH YOUR BOOB AND DO YOU TO PRACTICE. The last time I heard that was in the drama Strawberry on the Shortcake where Takki did it with a girl because he didn’t want to be a “cherry boy” in front of his new girlfriend. So now I can’t decide who I hate more. Kotonoha or Makoto. I mean Sekai is being a lil slut here and in some sense “tsundere” cause she coulda totally been like “listen you watermelon chest, Makoto is MINE.” But no she goes and acts all ironic. I can’t decide whether Makoto sucks more because he wants to like do it after like a week (or however long its been) or if Kotonoha’s just all too innocent or something. I mean she’s in some sort of 18th century mindset. All she needs is a gentlemen caller. On the other hand, I feel bad that she has to like go to this whore level. Honestly in her place (at that age too) I’d be like “wtf you doing bitch?” But what renews her stupidity is the fact that despite this she CONTINUES to “like” and “date” him.

But I suppose if she had a brain and Sekai wasn’t ironic, we wouldn’t have a show.

So this week was a pretty enjoyable episode. My favorite quote is Amuro explaining the reason her boobs are big is because her “brothers and dad” fondle them a lot. ^^;; Scary. Also the opening single (which is really addictive) is out now as well. So anyway Momoko wants her whole team to practice swimming during their summer vacation or else their team has “no tomorrow”. Nobody wants to practice and they’d rather have fun in the pool. Eventually somehow she eats a shroom (I swear it’s a freaking shroom) and gets so high that she starts stripping in front of everyone. There were a few differences from the game this week but generally the episode followed the story sequence. For all I know it could maybe be part of Nona’s story that I didn’t play but I’m just going by Sumomo’s story which I did play. So they decided to put the swim episode before the camping one for some reason. This throws a few things off because in this episode Sumomo finds out that Nona is Prima Asperas, and she will now know this during the camping trip (next week)…when she didn’t know in the game. So as a follow up to my previous AMV post…while logged in my AMV is there but when I logged out I realize that not only was that video tagged as “explicit”, but when clicking to view the video, it was also “deleted due to breach of TOS.” What am I breaching again? Was it the guy in the speedo? The hand on boob (covered by a bikini)? Or was it Louise kissing Saito? Hmm. Regardless it really made me re-think this whole AMV making thing. Is it worth it?
