Dropping Hayate no Gotoku from blogging. I’ll probably still watch it on the subway to work but I don’t feel like blogging it anymore. I don’t really have much to say about it and spitting out a summary is already done by a few other bloggers. Pointing out parodies isn’t as fun as it used to be and someone told me this show is gonna be 52 eps…of nothing. I’d rather do something else that interests me on Sundays. (Like cooking for the week and going shopping.)
I know that this week was an anime original episode..and while the DBZ parody made me laugh when Hayate was fighting the dudes at the end…I didn’t wanna just blog and be like “uh yea I liked this scene…umm that’s about it.” I’m not sure what it is lately but it’s becoming more and more difficult to blog these kinds of shows and as you can see I’ve been dropping them one by one. Back in the day when downloading anime was hard, you had to watch everything you downloaded cause of all the effort you put into getting the file. Nowdays it’s just a few minutes of torrent gets you what you want (and especially in my case where I don’t have to wait for fansubs.)
Now if you excuse me I have a french manicure to do.

So I’ve been keeping up with this manga for a pretty long time. The releases are down to about 1 per year so it’s really been a while but looks like the manga has finally progressed into the “end of eva” point of the storyline. The first few pages feature color illustrations as usual. One is of Misato with blood on her holding a gun, while the 2nd one is pictured above of Kaworu and Shinji. The volume begins where we last left off and the angel battle finished where Rei II died, Rei III was created and Asuka was put into the medical ward to be in a coma until End of Eva movie when she “miraculously” wakes up going “I don’t wanna die.” While most of this follows what you’ve seen…there have been drastic changes which really changed my opinion on some characters - especially Kaworu. So this week the guys & girls schools are having a compa which appears to be some sort of a massive gokkon between them. All the guys start practicing their “charm” to woo the girls…all except for Shuichi…who only has his eyes on Mizuki. XD You know to be honest, while I know that most likely Mizuki will end up with Sano…I seriously wish she’d just somehow get discovered by Shuichi and end up with him instead. I can’t stand it when shoujo manga heroines go for the cold aloof guy instead of the sweet nice guy. Bah fools! Continue Reading »

+You know I actually watched this week’s Airantou episode…it slightly amused me to see what everyone would look like in animal form and vice versa…but when the episode ended I was like “…..screw this I’m not blogging it.” I mulled this over and realized I’m actually kinda sick of scrolling through this show every week until I spot an Ikuto x Suzu moment or w/e. I think from now on I’m just gonna rely on other bloggers to blog this show and if they mention of any Ikuto x Suzu stuff…then I’ll download the episode and watch it. Otherwise my blogging of this show becomes “(insert random screenshot) this week sucked, I scrolled through the whole thing.” I watch Romeo & Juliet episodes more properly than I watch this show. It’s not going anywhere, it’s not gonna go anywhere and most likely it’ll have an ambiguous ending where nobody ends up with anybody and some sort of slapstick is inserted which includes a) Ikuto Nosbleeding b) someone naked/partially naked c) someone getting hit/kicked/thrown etc. Thank you, I have had enough.

Cursed bags and hot springs was the topic of this week’s episode. (It also included floating watermelon jokes which made me snort on the subway.) So anyway most of our cast is off on the bus to the hot springs along with the shacho and his son. Megumi decides not to take her “milfeulle pads”…and throws them aside…with one landing on the head of her pink pig. She later gets a phone call from her dad telling her that if there’s anything that lands on the pig’s head, bad luck will come. Megumi remembers this and freaks out because she’s miles away from home. Continue Reading »

Wow just…wow.
What an intense episode. I know Centi had it coming since last week but I didn’t expect it to turn into what it did. Actually I had intense Full Metal Alchemist vibe here. So it seems they really do turn into…zombies. I just find it weird that they can actually stand rather than lie there like..a doll might. Also that MeiMei? or w/e her name is voiced by Yukarin…well if she wasn’t annoying before, not that she’s a traitor she’s annoying 10x. It appears when Kakkou uses his bug it like takes over his arm and merges with it. (I was getting King of Bandit Jing vibes.)
So then once they shot at Centi’s centipede…I guess it was too late because the bug had “eaten” his dreams or something so it like “merged” with his soul/body/mind/etc. This is where I was like whoa it’s all like FMA & shit eww. Eyeballs mouths and hands in random places yuck lol. It seems like Kakkou also “merged” all the way up to his face with his bug in order to shoot a more powerful …laser thing. It’s interesting how Kakkou’s organization seems to have a better control of their bugs than Ladybird’s gang. So despite Ladybird saving Centi from the bug, she couldn’t save him from the “lose bug lose soul” thing. Poor guy. Sadly my guess next week is mosquito boy might die =/.

So while the Sakura
vs Sasori battle was pretty well done, the fillers of Team Gai and the old grandpa talking left me in a blur because I went all “ADD FILLER MODE” ™ and only went back to paying attention when they brought us back to the cave. And everything was going well until we were once again reminded that the only thing Sakura gives a shit about is Orochimaru and Sasuke. Gahhhh!! And you know what the worst part is? I thought this was filler until I double checked my manga and then I got more pissed off. You know at this point in time, I have nothing against the current Sasuke. He’s not as emo. Actually he’s pretty self-composed and not an angry little bitch. However whenever they refer to “past Sasuke” from whoever’s pov, then I get all annoyed and reminded of how fucking annoying he was in Season 1. Actually as long as oro was around he was annoying in season 2 as well but once Oro died (woops spoiler!) he was pretty decent to me. Oh well anyway I also don’t feel Sasori’s voice fits him. I expected him to have a more girly voice or something because he looks so bishie…but he sounds like he could be a Yakuza member or something….and as funny as that sounds Akatsuki are not a Yakuza gang.
Upcoming Attractions: Hopefully more fighting and less filler talk. Next week is also a 1 hour special.
