Lovely Complex - 17
So for those of you guys who were complaining about the Ootani line, he said it this week so rest assure! So Risa has disbanded the Maity club and the fangirls are also crying because they found out that he has a fiance. In the manga they actually showed his fiance, I wonder if we’ll even see her in the anime. So anyway Risa and Ootani are back to being the “laughing combo” much to Nobuko’s dismay. A big basketball even it coming up and Risa says she’ll cheer him on.
Unfortunately Ootani finds out that the team they are playing against are very tough and that his team has no chance. He’s very down and tells Risa not to bother cheering because it’s a lost hope anyway. When Ootani meets the other team they appear to be a bunch of “americans” who consistently say “man” lol. I love the stereotypes of americans in anime…cause clearly we are all tall and say “hey yo man” in every other sentence. Risa gets mad that Ootani is so negative and tells him she won’t cheer him on then.
Just when she’s about to tell everyone that she’s going home, Ootani shows up and says “What are you doing, I’m ready to rock n roll here!” He did this of course because he found the huge banner Risa made for him. I’m pretty sure his team loses the game but he has fun playing anyway. Afterwards he eats the lemons she made for him because she didn’t have any honey to mix them with. He starts telling her “Don’t stop liking me, I need someone like you after all.” Unfortunately Risa falls asleep during his indirect confession *sigh. Nobu is going nuts behind the bushes watching all this xD.

Risa feel asleep because she stayed up all night on the banner,who knows when Otani is gonna confess again. Not to mention Risa is really bold wearing the pink headband and all.
It was funny seeing Nobu complaining about having to wear one too.

And did they really show Maity’s fiancee in the manga? I read it recently and don’t remember that.
I coulda sworn in some chapter they saw her in a car picking him up or something
Yeah, I think Hinano’s right. There’s a scene somewhere that we get a tinsy gander at Maity’s fiancee.
And the American stereotypes are so hilarious.

Chapter 27 is next! Or the birthday! Oh, I hope they don’t fool around with the scenes, because I liked that chapter the way it was.
So any idea when the english subs will be out or where they are? I can’t wait for the subbed version, Otani is so cute!
