The furries did it for me.

Published by Hinano at 2:53 pm under Nagasarete Airantou

+You know I actually watched this week’s Airantou episode…it slightly amused me to see what everyone would look like in animal form and vice versa…but when the episode ended I was like “…..screw this I’m not blogging it.” I mulled this over and realized I’m actually kinda sick of scrolling through this show every week until I spot an Ikuto x Suzu moment or w/e. I think from now on I’m just gonna rely on other bloggers to blog this show and if they mention of any Ikuto x Suzu stuff…then I’ll download the episode and watch it. Otherwise my blogging of this show becomes “(insert random screenshot) this week sucked, I scrolled through the whole thing.” I watch Romeo & Juliet episodes more properly than I watch this show. It’s not going anywhere, it’s not gonna go anywhere and most likely it’ll have an ambiguous ending where nobody ends up with anybody and some sort of slapstick is inserted which includes a) Ikuto Nosbleeding b) someone naked/partially naked c) someone getting hit/kicked/thrown etc. Thank you, I have had enough.

Agreed. I will see it through most likely if it’s only 1 season. It started out with such promise. Then, like a bad lover, it turned. :P

What irked me was the whole Mr. Chicken being one of the “land lords”, and the whole Mimi (as I call the new ANNOYING one) defeating the Tiger flashback. It was just too stupid. There is a thin line between cute and lame.

But the chickens are cute. :)

Even the chickens can’t save this anime.

THat’s how the manga was for me too. It started out funny but became a cycle of lame and eventually at vol 4 or 5 I just stopped buying it.

I completely agree with you, although I predicted it much earlier, around episode 5, when I noticed that this anime was never going to get anywhere. Each episode is about Ikuto doing random things, girls fighting over him, just the most silliest things one can imagine. I cannot tell you enough how I detest harem series nowadays. The plot is generally the same, with some guy being surrounded by tons of girls, fighting over him. How many times can you really reuse the same old plot like that?! Sometimes, I would get to the point of wanting to go to the producers and just really give them a smack to the face lol. Your last sentences about the series not going anywhere sums it up exactly. I couldn’t have put it better myself. Long dropped this series, never regretted it.

I really tried John…but as you said and as I mentioned…its gonna go nowhere…I can only take so much. I don’t mind harem series as long as the “harem” isnt taking up 90% of the show…in which case this is.

    John:

The issue with harem is there is not much room to maneuver but not all is the same, you could try Ai Kora that is kinda breaks the mold (he wants their “parts” and not all the girls are not obvious in love with him).

Fact is most anime and manga is the same, that is not going to change so it comes down to the matter of execution.

Also sorry Hinano but you seen to want to see romantic scenes and not “the harem”, the point I can present against this is that the romantic scenes never happen so its down to “1 guy with a lot of girls and random stuff happens” that is the issue with this manga, there is no plot line or plot arcs.

Darkron I had hopes that there might be…because in some harem shows there is (i.e. love hina) but this show is exactly it: HAREM and nothing more. :/ I waited hoping I’d be wrong but can’t wait anymore XD

    You should watch Potema-

(struck dead by Professor H’s psychic powers)

Yeah, I was going to suggest other comedies to take the place of Airantou in your watching schedule but you don’t like any of them. My other suggestions were going to be Lucky Star and So Long, Mr. Despa-

(banished by Professor H’s ghost-busting squad)

And not all the current comedies are terrible… What about School Days?
