Mushi-Uta - 04

Published by Hinano under Mushi-Uta

Wow just…wow. What an intense episode. I know Centi had it coming since last week but I didn’t expect it to turn into what it did. Actually I had intense Full Metal Alchemist vibe here. So it seems they really do turn into…zombies. I just find it weird that they can actually stand rather than lie there like..a doll might. Also that MeiMei? or w/e her name is voiced by Yukarin…well if she wasn’t annoying before, not that she’s a traitor she’s annoying 10x. It appears when Kakkou uses his bug it like takes over his arm and merges with it. (I was getting King of Bandit Jing vibes.)

So then once they shot at Centi’s centipede…I guess it was too late because the bug had “eaten” his dreams or something so it like “merged” with his soul/body/mind/etc. This is where I was like whoa it’s all like FMA & shit eww. Eyeballs mouths and hands in random places yuck lol. It seems like Kakkou also “merged” all the way up to his face with his bug in order to shoot a more powerful …laser thing. It’s interesting how Kakkou’s organization seems to have a better control of their bugs than Ladybird’s gang. So despite Ladybird saving Centi from the bug, she couldn’t save him from the “lose bug lose soul” thing. Poor guy. Sadly my guess next week is mosquito boy might die =/.

Naruto -Shippuuden- 241

Published by Hinano under Naruto

So while the Sakura vs Sasori battle was pretty well done, the fillers of Team Gai and the old grandpa talking left me in a blur because I went all “ADD FILLER MODE” ™ and only went back to paying attention when they brought us back to the cave. And everything was going well until we were once again reminded that the only thing Sakura gives a shit about is Orochimaru and Sasuke. Gahhhh!! And you know what the worst part is? I thought this was filler until I double checked my manga and then I got more pissed off. You know at this point in time, I have nothing against the current Sasuke. He’s not as emo. Actually he’s pretty self-composed and not an angry little bitch. However whenever they refer to “past Sasuke” from whoever’s pov, then I get all annoyed and reminded of how fucking annoying he was in Season 1. Actually as long as oro was around he was annoying in season 2 as well but once Oro died (woops spoiler!) he was pretty decent to me. Oh well anyway I also don’t feel Sasori’s voice fits him. I expected him to have a more girly voice or something because he looks so bishie…but he sounds like he could be a Yakuza member or something….and as funny as that sounds Akatsuki are not a Yakuza gang. ;)

Upcoming Attractions: Hopefully more fighting and less filler talk. Next week is also a 1 hour special.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai - 04

Published by Hinano under Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni

So this episode focuses mostly on the Watanagashi festival that we’ve seen a billion times already. I just want to point out how I thought Keiichi was pretty cool in Season 1 but for some reason in this series they’ve turned him into a blundering idiot. I’ve lost all if any likeness I had for him as a character. But anyway the episode pretty much kept me on the edge of my seat with the killer after Rika and Satoko being helpless and the only one doing anything about it. Rika of course knew but acted like she didn’t because she knew that she can’t stop fate so why bother. The episode really brought out Satoko to me as someone other than a useless crying little brat. Go Satoko! Although unfortunately nothing good’s gonna come of your efforts.

Manga Review: Good Morning…Kiss?

Published by Hinano under Manga

Those of you have even heard of the manga called “Good Morning Call” will be happy (?) to know that apparently a sequel’s been released called Good Morning Kiss. I happened to lay my eyes on it browsing the Shoujo manga section at Kinokuniya. I knew something looked familiar and when I read the bottom flap thing it said “Now Uehara and Yoshikawa are in college!!!” Whoa ok this is starting to feel like Saved by the Bell: The College Years. So anyway they’re still living together or in rooms next to each other…or something. (THis part confused me.) Then one day her dad stops by and flips out and demands that she no longer live with him. Nao’s friends suggest that she and Uehara get married so that living together would be “normal”. Oh Japan.

So Nao then tries to give Uehara some ideas about getting married by leaving a wedding magazine next to his computer. He naturally sees it, tosses it aside and proceeds to play video games. Sigh. This is exactly what makes this manga so freaking…retarded. Continue Reading »
