Hanazakari no Kimitachi E - 03
So this week Mizuki’s brother comes from America to take her back. He already knows that she’s enrolled in an all man school but it appears that he has not yet told this to her parents. He thinks that Mizuki is just a fangirl (which apparently in the manga she really is) who came to Japan because she was in love with Sano. Mizuki yells at him that he’s wrong and explains to him that him quitting the jumping is her fault and that until she can make a difference, she will not go back to America. Unfortunately for her, Sano overhears the whole thing.
In the meantime trouble has erupted in the girls school because someone has been stealing all their panties. One of the guys creates a lie detector to try to figure it out but they have no idea. Eventually the vice principal (or whoever) decides to hold a contest that whoever can find the panty thief will be free of cleanup duty for the rest of the year. Shuichi in the meantime is pondering whether or not he’s gay so when he finds a pair of bra & panties lying on the floor he picks them up, puts them on and dances around yelling “I LOVE WOMEN IM NOT GAY”. By then everyone thinks he’s the thief but the lie detector says otherwise.
So anyway Sano tries to make her go back by being mean and rude to her saying she’s annoying to him. This makes her cry, but the next day she’s back to her old self again. Sano realizes that nothing except him coming back to the sport will make her go back and he tells this to her brother. He says he wants Mizuki to go back to America with a smile on her face. Her brother finally gives in and goes back home. At the dorm Sano still pretends like he doesn’t know anything about Mizuki being a girl etc. Meanwhile back at the ranch it turns out the panty thief was the dog.
Upcoming Attractions: Someone wants to take down the dorm or buy it out or something.

Thanks to you I started watching the subtitled version of this show and I LOVE it. Now to just find the manga which seems to be only available from Viz Media
hay great thanks, i’m a huge huge fan of the manga all the girls at school was, my friends and i have been praying they would make it in to a dram, when they first let out the casts namaes i was’nt sure that Shun Oguri would be good as sano, but he has proven me wrong.

I hope Sano gets back to track soon. His emo bishie-ness bugs me. Though what happens in the next episode is beyond me. I found the preview hectic and confusing.
Oh and Hinano thank for the ports advice. I just switched to a different client and its doing well for now.
Oh man, this story is deviating too much from the manga. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but then it’s not really hanakimi anymore. Let’s hope this liberty taken by the writers will at least stay on par with the intrigue of the manga.
