Mushi-Uta - 02
So actually
I’m really enjoying this show (and I bet everyone reading this blog is like OMG I CANT BELIEVE YOURE BLOGGING THIS HELL FROZE OVER) so I’m gonna blog it to the end of the season. Although it might have to be on Fridays because the raw comes out late so I watch it on the train the next morning. Soo after Daisuke jumps over the incoming train tracks, he grabs the “mystery girl”, whose name is Shiika, by the hand and runs off so that the policeman doesn’t yell at him. They run off into the park where he tells her about himself while she shyly listens, but eventually tells him her name.
Daisuke asks to see her again tomorrow and gives her his phone number. She says she doesn’t have a cell phone but he tells her he’ll meet her at the shopping center after school. While she waits for him, she sees an incoming truck and freaks out even though it just passes by her. She tells herself she has to get outta here and when Daisuke shows up…it seems like she’s gone but then out of nowhere she’s uh back. They go on a cute little “date” together and do the usual stuff you see in anime dates (dinner, movie, ufo catcher dolls etc).
Shiika then goes home by herself…to an empty house. She then has flashbacks of her and her family. Her parents never really liked her and her sister was the only one who cared for her. One day when Shiika was walking from school, a truck was about to hit a girl and Shiika accidentally used her “bug” or whatever and it tipped the truck over, killing the driver but saving the girl. The girl freaked out, along with everyone around her. Shiika ran screaming from the bug behind her, only to find out the parents called the cops to arrest her. Her sister tried to make them stop but yea what are you gonna do. The episode ends with her getting upset and calling and asking Daisuke to meet her.

Hooray! Glad to see that I’m not the only person in the world paying attention to it, although I dread the eventual return to the people in opera masks.
I quite like this series. Although the context is wierd, the story plays out very nicely. and btw, do blog mononoke!
