I’ve watched both the TW version and this (up to eps 7), and I have to say that the TW is.. superior. I know it starts up rather campy, and the acting is rather over the top, but the story is better, and the relationship between Mizuki and Sano is much better portrayed. Like, you actually can see how her presence is motivating Sano. Its not that apparent here. And I have to admit that Wu Chun is a much better Sano than Shun Oguri. Honestly!

The Japanese version feels rushed so far, despite having the same amount of eps as the TW version. But its saving grace is its humour and comedic timing. It made me laugh out loud many times. The TW version is far too… campy for that. Its better for the touching scenes.

I would recommend watching both the TW and Jap versions, if you have the time. =)

If Mizuki just popped out of… Nowhere.. Well, that’d make her no more than a rabit fangirl.
If it was all Mizuki’s fault, then she’s probably doing it all outta guilt.

I have not watched live action before but reading this blog made me decide to go watch. SARS was subtitling it and I watched it and loved it! Don’t seem to find any manga scanlations though.

ohh its alittle different from the manga cuz in the manga her friend Juliet or something comes ^^ (and i think in the manga it isn’t cuz of her that he is injured)

I actually have fallen in love with this show. I haven’t read the manga and I haven’t seen the TW version either. I thought the story-line didn’t sound to interesting as well. But after episode 2, I’m toootally hooked. Can’t wait for more!!!

I kinda prefer Mizuki much more hyper though. Maki seems still stuck in her Nobuta role, especially during that dress+magician scene.

And I kinda hated that she was the girl that he saved. That’s just too classical, even to the point of being cheesy. I’d much prefer that she was just spontaneously popping out of the blue into the scene for no reason. I mean, come on, don’t hold back or compromise. Just let it all hang loose.

Also I was wondering if it took you a long time to download this episode. The first episode didn’t take me very long but I got the torrent for this episode YESTERDAY and RIGHT NOW it’s at 3%. WTF?

Haha it deviates *alot* from the manga version but in a good way. Firstly, Mizuki is so less hyper and typical shoujo heroine in the drama, which is a good thing. I also really like the reason why Sano quit and why it links Mizuki, because in the manga Sano quit because he saved some other girl and Mizuki just kinda pops out of the blue lol
