So while this episode had less fanservice and wasn’t as funny as last week’s, a few parts still made me laugh here and there. Actually the part with the shaving really creeped me out. I mean I know some swimmers shave their bodies in order to have less resistance in the water but….it just seemed weird to do in an anime. So while I was at Anime Next a crapload of new shows aired. Luckily I found a working ipod video converter (which doesn’t crash or screw up files) so that I was able to catch up on a lot of them during my morning & afternoon rides on the NY Subway.

Moetan: LOOOOOOLLLLLLLL….i. The Engrish at the end was kinda funny since it had some truth to it (coughKamichamaKarincough) and Tamura Yukari seems to fit the role pretty well. Although I keep thinking of how useful she is to loli roles and useless for characters like TenTen in Naruto. I like how Ueda Yuuji voices the dude and most of the time his roles are pretty amusing. I may watch another episode of this to see if I will continue blogging it. The lolicon duck made me laugh constantly. The loli jokes are almost “ironic” as if the animators are like “yes we know she looks like she’s 10 but is really in high school and we’re gonna make all the jokes and puns about it.” Continue Reading »

So I thought about it long and hard and decided not to blog Doujin Work. Yes I draw doujinshi, but I don’t draw porn and the whole doujinshi/otaku thing was funnier in Genshiken. The only thing that show has going for it is a pair of dancing bloomers but that’s not enough to keep me bloggin it especially with a full day on Tuesday. I had no idea how good or bad this series would be based on my initial synopsis reading of it…but when I watched it I couldn’t stop laughing. The drama stars two popular Japanese actresses Itoh Misaki (who was in Sapuri) and Fukada Kyoko (who I really liked in Strawberry on the Shortcake.) The title itself means “Mountain Woman Wall Woman” which as you probably guessed it, refers to a girl with huge boobs and a flat chested one. XD That in itself should tell you that the drama is fulla boob jokes but it also includes the typical female rivalry in regards to work and love. Continue Reading »
